I have seen this has been announced by Universal

I am not a big fan of remaking films all the time. Sometimes they can work and sometimes, well, they don't! I'm still on the fence regarding this one. It is a 'cult classic'. Should it be tampered with?

I hear they plan to remake Gremlins as well.
