Name Change

I'm seriously considering retreating to the name DepressedSurreyFan at this moment in time!!!!

The Corporal posted at the end of the week that he was going on patrol for a few days. I assumed from that he meant a holiday - now I suspect that he and his troops are on a mission to find and bring you back!!

I cant see anything but relegation from the championship this season after the start we have had!! Im hoping for a decent one day showing. When does Ponting join up??
Our team just hasnt had a balance for along time now, we need to find a number 7 who is consistant with the bat and chips in with a few wickets, although before we find that we need to find a few more front line bowlers who chip in with a few wickets.

A decent team normally has 6 good batsman an all rounder and four good bowlers.

Before Smiths injury and including promising youngsters you could just about argue we have the six batsman but we dont have the all rounder and we certainly dont have four bowlers who chip in with enough wickets maybe two at best.

Im working today but if I come home to another defeat I may just wander out into no mans land without my rifle

Ponting's first game is expected to be the CC match at Guildford against Warks at the start of June. I understand we've been trying to bring forward his start date to make the match at Derbys the week before but it looks as if his other committments won't allow that.

Any news on current designation?  After the fiasco against Essex in YB40 I was half expecting that a new user called "ApoplecticSurreyFan" would have signed up.
