Paul Dickov named Doncaster manager

I find this a very odd appointment. He hardly did a brilliant job with Oldham, expect from giving them a good FA Cup run one year. So im surprised he has been offered a Championship job.
With him still being a young manager, i can see Bryan Flynn being there and the aim is for Dickov to maybe learn from Flynn.

You say he didn't do a brilliant job with Oldham, they were doomed financially and he kept them up (despite losing his job near the end of the season although that was financial rather than football reasons).

I know some donny fans that are pleased with Dickov. Heavy rumours this morning pointed to Michael Appleton being appointed and my father-in-law was ready to hand in his season ticket if that was the case!!

If it was Appleton he would manage till September, leave and join someone like Burnley.

Doncaster are already clear cut relegation candidates IMO.

They need a goalkeeper desperately. I don't think they can rely on Neil Sullivan any longer. As much as I like the guy he needs to retire. He's 42!
