What have Ireland learned
That two auld fellas are still good players. That Johnny Sexton is the best of a bad lot and that Jamie and his hair are still decent players ( although the Brigadier might disapprove of the team he is playing for). Other than that a missed opportunity of playing one of the big three and some further development with a new coach..wasted June methinks

I think we have learned that the point of the Lions tour isn't for Ireland to learn more about their players but to observe a tradition of bringing the four home nations together even if only for a few weeks once every four years to try and go teach these southern hemisphere upstarts a lesson.
Ligten up man we would have learned very little this summer anyway with our new coach not quite being ready to go in and players at the end of a long season etc
