Did Gatland take to many English players?

On reflection you can't help but think Gatland took to many English players. Non have put their hands up on tour, to be honest i would have brought in a few more hard Scottish forwards.
A lot misplaced praise put on Tom Youngs and Vinapola for two reasons-
1.SKY team love them ,Barnes and co just love talking them.
2.  Enthusiasm! they are keen no denying it,but just like a child thinking he can pick a spade and dig a pond with his father it doesn't take long to see how incapable they are.
I would have brought, Euan Murray,Scott Lawson,Kellock, Hamilton and Laidlaw
Scotland may not set the world alight but they are dam hard to beat because they have an excellent set piece,good old traditional forwards who can gain territory.

Wow And to think I Am accused of being a disruptive WUM.

Good attempt. Reasonably funny wum as a spin on the current too many welsh themes. Nice touch to try and get our scottish brothers to launch the salvos for you. Should get the attention of the usual suspects.

Couldn't.  Gatland is trying out a new hobby of his during the tour. Fundamentalism.  Any player who asks to play has his hand cut off.  Contribution strictly by invite.  Wait to be told you're playing.  So the English boys are reef fishing up in Cairns for the last month.... catching nothing of course, as they all lost their rods as well....no girl play allowed either.

8 losses in their last 11 games over 3 series would suggest otherwise.

Kelock is a great club player.. But in no way lions material. Laidlaw may well have been a good choice however, he is a different style of scrum half to the ones on tour. I thought Strockosh would have been a good choice due to his unbelievable performances last summer vs Australia, Fiji and Samoa. He was epic against SA this summer so could well have been a good choice after all. But he only seems to show this great form on summer tours

He certainly didn't take to any Scottish players. He wouldn't touch them with yours...

Ha, well spotted Pooly. Maybe he took to a few, like Parling, but not the rest like Cole, Farrell and Stevens. They must have rubbed him up the wrong way.

Incontrovertible!!!!!! Stevens, no one can possibly defend his selection. You don't need a versatile prop with 23 in the squad.

But as pbuk0 says, he left behind many other that on reflection deserved to go.
