As the recent 606 V2 poll showed (and you can't get more comprehensive than that), this accolade goes to Brian Griffen.

Only episode I can remember was when ALF had hiccups and they made this horrific metallic sound and the family were concerned he'd be discovered if they couldn't cure him asap. He said there were two remedies , cat juice (made by squeezing the juice out of a cat) and the other was far too horrible to contemplate. Turns out the other remedy was broccoli.

I suppose it was funny back then!

ALF came along at a time when TV and Film execs realised they could make shows and films about acronyms:

ALF = Alien Life Form
E.T. = Extra Terrestrial
DARYL = Data Analysing Robotic Youth Lifeform

They were halcyon days.

"Cyborg Unit at Neptune and Titan" never really took off, did it?

ALF was brilliant. My wife has an Alf cuddly toy that sits on a shelf in our bedroom. Sometimes I think he watches us.
