14th IAAF World Championships: DAY 4

Events to look out for:

Men's 5, 000m; Mo Farah
Mo will be taking this as easy as he can. He understands that the Ethiopians and Kenyans will be gunning for him inthe final, particularly following their limp attempt in the 10K.

Women's 1, 500m; Hannah England
Good to see her back and running well. Great Talent!!

Men's 800m; Andrew Osagie
A gutsy, dependable 800m runner. Getting in the final does cement his record. Got to the Olympic final last year ( 8th in 1:43.76 ). Difficult proposition, this final. However, you never know Very Happy

Women's 400mh; everyone of the British Athletes into the semi's. Peri Shakes Drayton looking particularly sharp and fired. Good luck to all of them. The event for Britain is in sure health!

Men's 400mh; everyone British Athletes entered is in the semi's. However, Dai Greene looking unlikely to make the final. Good luck again to all of them.

Thoughts and contributions welcome!!

With Valerie Adams winning her fourth straight shot put championship, Does that not make her the best shot put thrower ever in history?

No man has ever done it....

Men's High Jump

Robbie Grabbarz - consistent, all the way to 2.29. First time clearances. It's going to be very difficult in the final. Bohdan Bondarenko is the most likely person to break the High Jump WR since it was last set by Sotomayor ( this guy can go 2.47 in my opinion ). Ukhov, the Olympic Champion, is awesome too. And then there's the Qataran, Barshim, who has jumped 2.40m in the past ( and looks like he could clear that again ). Grabarz will do well to get 4th. Been the toughest high jump comp in years. Will possibly take a British Record perhaps for Grabbarz to get a medal.

Well done to the fella, nevertheless, and good luck to him in the final OK

Women's 400mh

Great to see PSD and Elidh Child go through to the final. 53.93 a great time for a semi for PSD. She's looking in great shape - great conditioning! But will possibly need to go sub 53 to confidently secure gold. Realistically, good for silver ( though would of course love to see Gold ). Well done to both PSD and Elidh Child clap
