Tuesday qualifiers
Macedonia vs Scotland (7:30)
Wales vs Serbia (7:45)
Ukraine vs England (7:45)
Austria vs ROI (7:45)
As a welsh man i'm not holding out for too much against Serbia. We're without joniesta and williams so it means there's even more pressure on Ramsey to pull something out the bag again. Hopefully Coleman's team selection and tactics improve and we're more positive against Serbia. If we'd gone for it we would've won in Macedonia. Fingers crossed bale get's 15 mins at least.
Tough games for England and ROI, I expect England to get a point at least or maybe sneak a win.

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
I agree nick, although if Scotland are more positive than wales they'll win. Macedonia were all over the shop when took the game to them. We're actually expecting a big crowd vs Serbia for once so fingers crossed the crowd will get behind the boys and they really take it to serbia. Losing 6-1 to them last time out is surely motivation enough, and the fact it was speedo's birthday yesterday.

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
England win, and we can look forward to next summer.
England draw, and their fate is still in their hands, but there will be a lot riding on next month.
England lose, and the play-offs against possibly France or Portugal beckon.

- Spoiler:
England expected to line up like that tomorrow. Still sticking with my 2-0 England prediction - Lampard and Walcott to score.

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
Apparently Hodgson is considering starting Smalling at right back, probably to be more defensive, but it may have something to do with pictures of him being released doing laughing gas.

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
England will win, so says my heart, as the Ukraine don't have as many skilled players, as far as I'm aware, so I predict a typical 2-1 win to England.

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
Bale has apparently picked up a groin injury in training. May be out of Madrid's game vs Villareal. Anothing nail in the coffin for tomorrow's game. Looking at lining up as:
Myhill
Mathews (Probably Gunter) Ricketts Gabbidon Davies
Ramsey Ledley Vaughan
Collison
Hal Robson Kanu
Bellamy

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
Only one change for tomorrow says Roy, with someone (presumably and hopefully Milner) coming in for Welbeck. Unless Roy has a rush of blood and picks Sterling of course.

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
England: Seaman, Dyer, Southgate, Adams, Keown, Guppy, Lampard, Ince, Redknapp, Shearer, Phillips. Subs: Neville, Martyn, Le Saux, Wise, Scholes, Heskey, Owen.
That was the England team when Frank Lampard made his debut in a 2-1 friendly win over Belgium 14 years ago.

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
England usually do very well in these tough away qualifiers, but im not sure about tonight.
Would like to see Baines come in for Welbeck and see how he does with Ashley Cole in the 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation......although im sure it will be Milner.
Milner is woefully limited though, as are Englands striking options................
Im going to plump for 2-1 Ukraine win...........

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
Russia 2-0 Israel as it stands.
If Russia win that, they'll be on top spot with 2 games left against minnows Luxembourg and Azerbaijan, whilst Portugal will be facing a potentially tricky play-off to make it to the World Cup.
And people say England are struggling!

Yet your username is after a Welshman? As an Irishman naturally I'm hoping my fellow countrymen can do the business against Austria. Good luck to Scotland and Wales as well though . I still have the jury out on Trapattoni. The Terror of Tylorstown wrote:I'm English thank god.

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
Don't understand the stick Milner get's. I've always quite liked him. Works hard, has a good cross and shot on him when he's in range. He'll provide cover for Cole tonight down the left hand side in what will be a tough game in Kiev. He's the type of player you need sometimes in these sorts of games. As a Welsh man I hope England win tonight, always support them in the major tournaments, never the same without them. Looking at the Welsh side, it'll won't be far off a miracle if we win tonight.

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
Must admit even though I want England to lose ofcourse it is funny to watch when they qualify and we are all subjected to months of 'The boys are gonna win it' and 'Spirit of 1966 will shine through' and then when they lose on penalties to someone its like a national blame fest on why it all went wrong

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
Absolutely Spencer. And just like to say I heard reports of around 16-17000 at the CCS tonight. there's about 7,000. Very dissapointing but I think it just sums up Coleman's reign. His hands are tied tonight with injuries and suspensions but wins bring crowds. Wales aren't winning, and the crowds aren't coming. Shame.

Re: Tuesday qualifiers
You don't seem to have the same team ethic under Coleman as you have had in the past. I think your boys need to go back to being a hard working team that's difficult to break down first and foremost. Unfortunately it looks like bale could end up like giggs. I.e. his team having more power over if and when he plays.

The only highlight will be Bale coming on hopefully at the 60 minute mark. We need a good manager instead of the usual dross we employ (Sparky and Speedo not included ofcourse)
