frank warren claimed that part of the matchroom business went into insolvency in the past week following warren putting his own company into administration(sports network all over again) as it owed £3 million to creditors

How is Warren still allowed to run a company. Are you not supposed to get banned when such things happen?

I doubt Matchroom would go into insolvency. While Eddie isnt capable of running a P up in a brewerey his good old daddy is a very sharp man and would not let this happen. Sports Network isnt up to much anymore without any funding from Sky

I just think it was frank trying to justify his actions by turning the spotlight back on to matchroom i don't think what frank said is true about the hearns

i don't agree with you steffan i think eddie is capable of running things well from a business view point

im not sure lumbering jack how he is didn't he screw calzaghe out of money by winding up sports network?

ignore Steffan when it comes to anything or anyone connected to either Haye (who smashed up Enzo) or Froch (who called out JC about 10 yrs ago).

he's still upset over his boy getting hopelessley obliterated once Frank finally had him step up. Funny how Frank/BN's only 'top level' fighter loses his paper title and the business suddenly has to fold.

Funny enough when watching BN yesterday it came up "BOXNATION, THE HOME OF CHAMPIONS"

Yet it hasn't got any....

Whilst the row is childish and unseemly there is a serious point in all this that these are the two premier promoters in Britain. Stuff like this makes the chances of us seeing the likes of Quigg and Frampton actually happening increasingly remote.

I'm not sure if it still does, but Eddie was making a loss for a while on the boxing promotion side of things.

We need Warren to go under. Give Eddie the monopoly. To be fair, Frank Warren is sticking Saunders v Ryder on at 1 in the morning, so with that sort of scheduling he will go under fairly soon I imagine.

The biggest shame of all of this is the fact that, although Eddie Hearn has all of the domestic fighters on Sky... BoxNation shows pretty much every other fight from across the World.

Personally, I don't care for the drama between Matchroom and Warren. I just want to see fights!

Unfortunately, just like the fighters, governing bodies and everyone else in the sport - the egos between the two hurts the fans.

Whether Warren has gone into administration again will effect BoxNation will remain to be seen, but it looks like his promotional company is under...

BoxNation can't sustain at this rate. Half empty shows - limited talent, no exposure beyond die hard fans. What's most worrying is Frank seems to have lost his ability to make good judgement. He holds pressers for fighters without opponents FFS and then the next week to announce he is partnering with his kids.

Getting silly now. Billy Joe Saunders isn't convincing me of anything. Frampton is good but has made an idiotic move going to BoxNation at this point in his career.

If Frank survives then fair play to him, but he'll be waving email printouts in the air soon enough no doubt

From the start this has been about the Hearn's having a monopoly on top level Britsh boxing.

It's how they run snooker and darts.

Is a monopoly good?

3 PPV's tells the story.

This was my concern watching the card this weekend. Ryder is no mug, it was a great match-up, but with the potential BJS is being talked up of I was expecting something a lot more impressive.

BJ Saunders doesn't have enough power for a start. That is becoming clear. He has hand problems, which is maybe the issue, but I see him being walked down on the world scene against a fighter with a big punch.

He looked like he had a decent dig originally. But, like JC, he's had serious hand injury issues and his punch has gone as a result.

How can you not survive if you bank the profits then dissolve when your creditors get too large? Good business model to be fair.

BJS is all fast hands no power. A bit like DeGale.

I wouldn't underestimate Ryder, he's no mug.

It was two lefties as well.

Not really underestimating Ryder, but more an observation on BJS skills. Wheny ou look at what he has versus world level Middles, it feels a lot like James Degale to me. No stay off me power, fast hands, but burns a lot of energy moving around. He is like Degale in the power stakes for me. Unlike Calzaghe, he can't throw 120 punches a round to make up for lack of pop

I actually thought BJS done alright the other night.

Ryder just ploughed forward tapping his head every few seconds, but BJ showed good handspeed and def deserved the W.
