What do you watch out of habit? Empty What do you watch out of habit?

There are programmes that you may have started watching and enjoyed a lot, but now find yourself just watching out of habit or loyalty. You know they aren't really very good, but you keep watching them anyway. Less than a guilty pleasure, more like a chore you feel you still need to do or a third rate football team you need to support (or Derby in my case!!).

For me, it is probably Supernatural. Season 9 now, still like the Winchesters, but how many times can they die at the end of one season only to be brought back the next and then have angst over why they are still alive and everyone else is dead.

Any other examples or is it just me?

Eastenders.

I slag it off all the time, which annoys the wife. Thing is, I always watch it, for some unknown reason.

There is not a lot really. Am quite brutal with my TV habits, the minute something bores me I bin it. Did it with Prison Break when it got ridiculous. Homeland, you have been warned.

Prison break was fantastic in the first series, but ended up being dragged out for no good reason.

Was such an anti climax when it was unveiled what 'the company' actually were.

I only watched the first 3 series of Prison Break.

I got bored half way through season 3 of Prison Break.  Season 2 wasn't particularly that good, which was surprising cause I thought season 1 was top notch.
What was 'the company' then?  I doubt I'll ever watch it to find out.
The one programme I still watch even though it hasn't been good in years is Eastenders.  Mainly cause the wife watches it too.  I think everything else I watch is still good.

I'm tempted to say Lost - even before the disappointment of the finish, it had lost a lot from the initial excellence. Still watched it to the end, but without the same interest.

I certainly get why people would say Eastenders or Corrie - I see enough of both because my in-laws watch them religiously, and know Eastenders in particular has really deteriorated in quality over the last few years (I never liked it, but now can't stand most of the characters).
