Completely agree with everything you said, I think Daniel Bryan's time has come and gone. Sure, they might revisit it later down the line but it won't have the same impact as it could have if WWE had struck whilst the iron was hot.

Although when it comes to Daniel Bryan I don't think it was ever their intention to strike at all, it was more a case of WWE being able to say to their audience "Well we took the most popular guy in the company and we gave him a chance just like you wanted but Summerslam didn't draw so tough titties - Big Show's your new hero now".
