WTF?

Just heard that BT Vision have beaten Sky to get all the live Champions League?

BT Sport has signed a £1bn deal to broadcast Champions League and Europa League matches for three years from 2015.

BT has agreed to pay around £299 million a season for the rights to all 350 matches in the two Uefa competitions each season.

The Champions League is currently broadcast by Sky Sports and ITV.

If it was worth it sky would have outbid them, they currently pay less than half that and didn't feel there was enough profit in it.

Just means the consumer is more out of pocket, I hate this fake competition.

I think it is very different to when sky were showing the champions league. Sky were sharing the champions league with ITV. Now BT have exclusive rights to show all of the games.

It looks loike BT are using their financial power to aggressively delete Sky from the football calendar. By 2015 all sky will have left is shared rights for EPL games and when bidding for the epl comes around again you can be certain BT will outbid sky and BT will have the majority of the games.
