LK's Tennis Quiz Empty LK's Tennis Quiz

Post by Guest Thu 21 Nov 2013, 3:20 pm

I haven't done one in ages and being it's quiet on the boards I thought I would inject some life into it with a quiz. No googling or wiking!

1) Name the last homegrown champions both male and female at the Slams?
2) Who defeated Pete Sampras in his only Semi-Final at Roland Garros?
3) Maths: Number of sets played in the Djokovic/Nadal Rivalry + Rod Laver Slam wins - Number of Grand Slam finals Federer has made + Age Andre Agassi was when he won his last Slam =?
4) Name of the 4 ball providers at the Slams?
5) Name the the last Spanish female Slam winner?
6) Laura Robson was born in which country?
7) Roger Federer's debut Slam victory was against which player?
8) Who once said to John McEnroe: “My son is better behaved than you. I’ll bring him to play you.”

I have seen gems like the following floating around in the last few days (looks like virus attacks waiting to happen. Clicks are hidden predators waiting to drag you, the keyboard warrior, into the nether reaches of the Dark Net … )

if 3 = 18
4 = 32
5 = 50
6 = 72…
then what is
10 = ?

200 is probably right but 140 also works.

JHM is correct. The series is n * n * 2, where n=3,4,5,6,7,…

BS.. how did you arrive at 140?
