New Stricker needed.

The Hearts thread looks a bit sad so I thought I would start it up.

Stricker?

Sounds German or Austrian to me... Seriously though, I do think Jefferies will sign John Sutton, the big man has improved a lot in the last two years and with 17 goals and a few against the Jambo this season I definitely think he is a major possibility, he would give Hearts that target man they've missed since Kyle got injured

Despite what anyone might think of them, The SPL would be a lot more entertaining with a genuine challenge from Hearts

It would be more entertaining with a genuine challenge from any team to the Old Firm. Nothing special about Hearts.

And is there anything really special about any SPL team? We are all dung!

Not anything special about any of them but the Old Firm are a level above the rest.

The Old Firm aren't awful sides Steve they might not be top quality but they have some decent players.

So do alot of other sides, what about Goodwillie? What Hearts need is a manager not a puppet. Their fast turning in to nothing more than a bogie team

Goodwillie is the only player in the rest of the SPL who would get a regulare game for either of the old firm imo.

I know I was trying pretty hard to come up with someone else as well but no luck at all mate. Thought about Templeton but I would rather have Naismith/Wylde or Commons/Forrest. Templeton is a lazy boy when he loses the ball he stands their and waits on it coming back to him again.
The 4 I mentioned are all good wide men Commons and Naismith are more of a goal threat than Forrest and Wylde but they are proper wingers who put good service in the box.

You're right that Hearts aren't special but it will take less work making them Challengers than anyone else

They've had very little to spend but JJ has got them 3rd and untik Kyle got injured they they where keeping up the pace. Jefferies is a moaning face old cuuunt but he is a good manager

they might not have spent much but still will be the third highest wage in league.decent manager in scotland nothing more.same as sir walter great manager in scotland.

No doubt they'll have the 3rd highest wage in Scotland, hopefully they can cut out dead wood in the Summer and sign a few players to boost their league form

What long game could sabotaging his own team help him? Do you think Jon Daly would be a good choice as a back-up/competition for Kyle?

Jefferies seems to be buying decent players for a reasonable price. That is his strength, look what he did at Kilmarnock.
Daly looks OK. but I would rather see Sutton, he looks a good prospect in a good team. Shame about Kyle kind of skewed our season.

I think Sutton would be a brilliant signing, over the last 18 months he has really came onto a game and scored a lot of goals, he could take Kyles place or partner him, I also think Adam Rooney is a cracking prospect

Well we got Sutton and another couple of decent players for no fee.
Good bit of business.

Talk of a new stadium as well, things seem to be on the up.

Romanov picks the team he got them 3rd. Like I said Jeffries is a puppet and has lost all respect he had earned. I rated him highly before he took the Hearts job.
