v2 Exclusive - Interview with Lance Hoyt 3663386
Former WWE and TNA star Lance Hoyt recently gave this exclusive interview to the v2 Wrestling Podcast!
 
Hoyt, currently one half of the IWGP Tag Team Champions with Davey Boy Smith Junior, covered a range of topics during the 40-minute interview.
 
Particularly memorable was his assertion, when asked whether 3MB was a take-off of his Rock 'n' Rave Infection tag team in TNA, that Heath Slater "could easily be this generation's Ric Flair if he was given that platform and opportunity".
 
Other topics included:

- Being part of TNA during its early years, when he wrestled under the Dallas moniker, and his later run with Jimmy Rave and Christy Hemme
- The difference between wrestling in the United States and Japan
- How he feels watching Tensai in WWE
- His experiences of working in the relaunched ECW brand
 
Hoyt also opined that the industry is being held back by the negativity of both wrestlers and fans, commenting that "there's too much negativity and I think it's part of the reason the business hasn't found that exploding point it has in the past'.

Really looking forward to this interview, I enjoy the K.E.S in New Japan, and I've always rated Hoyt, everyone knows I'm a big fan of the 'jap grap' so it'll be interesting to here the views of someone on the inside, it's funny until you see it written down I think it's easy to forget how well travelled some wrestlers like Hoyt are

Anyways after all that I'm away to sleep, will listen tomorrow

That's weird because he talks about you quite a lot during the interview.

Also, he was called Vance Archer in his WWE run if that helps.

It's funny because I don't remember Vance archer at all but I instantly recognised the name lance Hoyt. And he was in TNA before I really started watching it.

He was really well spoken and very interesting I thought.
