Last night Rich Peverley collapsed on the Dallas Stars bench during the first period of their game with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was carried out and taken to hospital where he was conscious.

He has a known issue with his heart. He had a procedure for a irregular heart beat in pre season. Very scary moment and has shades of Fabrice Muamba about it.

It's the 2nd time in the last 6 weeks an NHL player has had heart issues. Pittsburgh Penguins defender Kris Letang suffered a stroke in February. It was revealed be has a small hole in his heart.

The difference from Muamba is the outlook for Peverley and Letang looks a lot better but we don't know what will happen when one of them makes their return to the ice.
