Now TV to watch Sky Sports
I have just paid £6.99 to 'Now TV' to watch Sky Sports for 24 hours, when I choose to activate the pass.
I have done this to watch Porter v Brook this Saturday.
I was hoping this would allow me to watch it on my TV but it looks as though its a via a live stream?
Has anyone used this before and does anyone know the rough ring walk time?
Cheers
Neil

Dish out around a hundred a month for our sky package which is stupid considering she only watches NCIS,Murdoch type stuff and I only watch documentaries and sport..
Have to re-evaluate the situation sometime..

I've just re-joined Sky and they've given me the entertainment plus package with Sports for half price for the first year - that's £26 a month for the first 12 months. Might be worth giving them a call Truss !
PS - I can't help you either, Neil.

Now TV is a steaming service, you can pick up a box for about £20 and it usually comes with three months free movies. Ring walks will probably be around 3.30ish.

A hundred a month? What sort of package have you got Truss (and I'm not referring to the one you flaunt at young boys via webcam)? I've got all 5 sports channels, entertainment package, phone & unlimited broadband and it's £61 a month. You're having your trousers pulled down there pal (no inference to your webcam activities intended).

Sky sports are having an open day this weekend which includes the brook porter fight so perhaps save your now tv for another night as you get this fight free. As long as you have an existing sky box.

For the record, Now TV can be watched via Now TV set top box, Smart TV app, Games Console Now TV app, smartphone Now TV app, or any laptop/computer on the website.

It is about that if you include phone line, calls and sky go+.
If you have hd and multi room it can be even more!

So anyone can watch the fight this weekend free of charge? Plus any of the footi for that matter?

If you have Sky, Virgin Media or Talktalk, all Sky Sports channels are free from 06:00 Saturday to 06:00 Sunday.
Sky are ever so slightly worried by BT.

Can you watch this through Now TV without having a Now TV Subscription for free?

Sorry to labour the point, but if I set Porter V Brook to record, will I still be able to watch if after 6am on Sunday?

I am not actually sure, to be perfectly honest. You may have to contact your service provider...or try to stay awake!

Surely once it's recorded it's recorded. Shouldn't matter if you've got the channel or not.
I'm not the authority on this, mind. Two weeks in a row I've tried to record Star Wars on itv only for it to cut off because they put the news in the middle. Still didn't learn my lesson (lesson being itv are utter cockrings).

Even if you record it you won't be able to watch it after 6am.

Virgin Media only went and pulled the plug on the free Sky Sports before 4am, considering it was advertised until 6am there were plenty of angry people on Twitter!

Tut tut Dipper, and I thought you was alright, you should have each set of DVD's that have come out and the VHS sets, not to mention the special edition super disc (Them stupid massive discs before dvd's.)
