The West Midlands vs Swindon derby game Empty The West Midlands vs Swindon derby game

...otherwise known as the South West derby game between Glaws and Bath is this weekend. Last season's game was a very fiery affair with 2 red cards and 5 yellow cards; Garvey was lucky to escape with a yellow for a clothesline on Gareth Evans which resulted in him rupturing his ACL; Puafisi was red carded for a dangerous high tackle on Bendy and Tavis Knoyle's action were indefensible and deservedly red carded and effectively end his career with Glaws. It's fair to say whilst these games are heated and it is part of what makes the games enjoyable, I don't think either side want a repeat show. Nevertheless, the rhetoric will start soon about how focused the players are. Glaws have stalled slightly in recent weeks and despite the home advantage I'd expect Bath to be made favourites for this game. However, Glaws thrive with the underdog tag and with the bulk of players now back, with the roar of the Kingsholm crowd under the lights I'm going for a Glaws win by 5. I have, of course, never been accused of being bias or one-eyed...

I'd expect Glaws to put out the following side:
Wood, Hibbard, Afoa, Savage, Palmer, Evans, Kvesic, Morgan, Laidlaw, Hook, May, 36, Purdy, Sharples, McColl with reps of Lutui, Y.Thomas, Puafisi, Stooke, Kalamafoni, Braley, Atkinson, Halaifonua
