FO Day 7
Just watching Dolgolopoulov v Troicky. Dolgo is so relax and laid back and such a great player. Always trying to surprise Troicky.
He is the new Santoro with more talent and style in view than teh old Frenchman.

Morning tennis lovers
Finally get to watch some tennis with not working on the weekends. Should be a good day, and as ever, I will keep you up to date with all the twitter feeds.

Of course that will not make him necessarily a great player.

Re: FO Day 7
Dolgo also plays pretty fast with little time taken between points. As Troicky does most of the running, he is trying to take as much time and makes the Dolgo wait on his serve...which is not quite fair..

Watching mr Murray. Have to say how on earth is Djokovic and Del Potro on so late? Rubbish from the organisers.

It looked so painful. They are strapping it up now, but he was in agony with it.

He is going for the shots. Makes you laugh if he can play like that on one leg.

Meanwhile Veic made a gesture to commit harikiri, very understandable because Nadal looks so beatable today but Veic keeps on making stupid mistakes. He simply doesn't know how to finish points.
Nadal takes the second. Unfortunately it's is a best of 5 so the torture continues..even Nadal fans will agree on that

and breaks at the start of the third, Berrer losing the plot a bit with a poor error and a DF from 30-30, Murray grimacing but battling on, striking the ball as well as I've ever seen him do...

MASSIVE FOREHAND, big serve, ace out wide, backhand into the net, and then another big forehand which berrer can't return, Murray holds for 2-0

Berrer has gone mentally. I just don't think he knows what to do out there.

Re: FO Day 7
this is just unbeleivable play from Murray, a laser backhand from behind the baseline and then a massive forehand return off a first serve see him secure the double break.

That was very, very good from Murray. He struck the ball absolutely superbly, great to see. Berrer looked like he didn't really know what to do. Now go get some ice on that ankle Andy, hope it gets better, because right now he's playing well enough to win this tournament.

I had agreed with that but now with this ankle injury, it's very much in doubt. When Murray cools down, in the next hour, we will find out the real extent of the injury. It did not look good towards the end of the match.
To me this looks like another USO 10 draw for Nadal! PLays and struggles against nobodies but as they advance, things are getting easier for the Spaniard.
I still think that Djoko and Federer will stop Nadal in teh final if they don;t kill each other in the semi.

I can't stand NBC and it's delayed coverage. The tennis doesn't start until noon local time where I am. That's why I need to find pirate feeds on the internet.
Hopefully ones that do not pose spyware or adware threats.

Good hold there from Delpo. He needs to settle himself down and not keep going for that killer shot so early in rallies.

Typical Djoko these days. He hangs in there, strikes the first chance he gets and never looks back.

I think Simon might stand a better chance than Soderling v Nadal. He is less likely to bottle it and then the crowd will certainly be on Simon's side.

What Djokovic is doing so well is changing the pace on shots during long rallies. The thing for Delpo is that he can't blast his way through Djokovic. He needs some variation.

I think Delpo is holding on better than I had anticipated....but I don;t know whether it's him or Djoko's amazing retrieval skills but I don't find his ground shots are powerful as they used to be.

Delpo double faults to hand Djokovic the early break in the fourth set.
Very anticlimactic.

Another break of serve from the Serb. That game showed where the difference between the 2. That drop was brilliant. Delpo is still on the comeback and the fact he has taken a set is a testament to his talent.

Re: FO Day 7
Djoko was too strong off the forehand and backhand wings today, although he missed a few forehands today and this may give the rest of the field a faint glimmer of hope.
However, Novak is becoming a bit Nadalesque in the manner in which he fights back from tough situations, especially with having to play this match over two days and having to fight off those break points in the 3rd.
The Djoker passes his first stern test and the Novak bandwagon rolls on.

Re: FO Day 7
Did you guys see that ridiculous Djoko drop shot on match point. It was absolutely lethal. Standing a meter behind the baseline he trickled to ball over the other side. Novak is through, breathe easier, this was a scare match. As I predicted the Djokovic return would lead him to victory.
