Shame. I would have liked Van Bommell and would probably have offered straight cash and a bit more of a future fee too. But fair enough, you have already accepted Smart's offer.

yeah i think his plan was to get either one of lucas or van bommel in all along, as i reckon he would have known id have gone in for lucas, and his offer represents a win win for both of us i think,as he gets a backup dm that is rated (although perhaps not as highly as he should be) and i get a replacement for effectively only 2m more who i dont think anyone especially likes because of the kit he wears, but will grudgingly rate
