The English 9 Randall, I'm sure was a Wales under 16 player.....impressed by Owen lane and will Jones at 7. The English 14 is rapid too

Born in england, lived in England all his life, English mum.

Only 1 player not born in outside of Britain.

His dad has been in England since 1995 and the kid is 18.. Do the maths 

would say England had the better backs on the whole the welsh the better pack on the whole (Bar Earl @ 8).

That's a fair summary welly, Phil Jones the starting fly half came off way too early and we should have started with efan jones from rgc1404 @ 9. However I feel wales may rue in the coming years losing harry Randall to england

Well our U18s are getting better at least. Aren't these games a warm-up for a European comp next month? Also on Randall, if he's that Welsh then surely he'll be back some day like Moriarty?

Dual qualified, both his parents are english. I think his parents moved over to west wales before he was born but moved back home to England a year or so ago

Yes there is a tournament at the end of the month. Our age grade teams are really good, the academies at the four regions and rgc1404 have been conditioning the young lads. Our under 20s which include around 10 - 15 from.last years under 18s looked in better shape than their English counterparts and the under 18s looked to be in a similar shape to the English team. Previously the England lads have been far stronger and fitter.

The English defence committed less to the breakdown than Wales so when they did attack they had much more space. The English defence was a white line along the pitch. The English back's had more space to show what they could do than the Welsh. English pack looked bigger but Wales still had the edge on them.

Good to see Wales no8 Morgan morris take his try well. At Hartpury college at the moment and has just signed for Glos. To prospect for Wales imo...

When responding to his co-commentator who suggested that the game was very enjoyable to watch since both sides wanted to attack and run with the ball, he replied.....
"well they've got their whole pro careers ahead of them to tackle and kick the ball away". Marvelous!

I see that Ian Botham's grandson (and Liam's son) played in the back row for Wales U18s against Scotland this weekend.

Yeah he did and he's playing again today against the Italians. Was born in Cardiff when his dad played there, also hes in the blues academy but lives in Cumbria (not sure quite how that works mind you)

He sounds Welsh too, if that counts.

Will be interesting to see if he can make a decent career in sport. Liam gave up cricket to escape his dad's shadow, but arguably was only ever a journeyman winger.
