Kwinigolfer strolled to victory in the Italian Open courtesy of Francesco Molinari and runner up Danny Willet.  He also threw in top ten finisher and low round scorer Tommy Fleetwood to add to the margin of victory.  He didn't have the most scoring picks, that fell to Owen10ozzy and SetuPDetermines who both had four scoring picks.  Owen also picked Molinari and Willett but ultimately didn't have enough supporting quality.  Sand also had three scoring picks matching Kwini's points haul but he started too far back to challenge.  BlueCoverman, Eyetoldyouso, I'm Never Wrong, SirBenson, and TheCleaver also had three scoring picks of varying quality.  AlciG, Davie, EmmDee57, McLaren, Pedro, and Super_Realist all had two scoring picks; AlciG and Pedro both had Molinari but their other picks didn't help out too much.  GolferMartin and LadyPutt had one scoring pick each.

Danny Willett headlines the field at the Italian Open in Milan with Rikard Karlberg appearing as the defending champion. A number of other former winners are in the field including Julien Quesne, Robert Rock, Daniel Vanscik, Francesco Molinari, Steve Webster, Mathias Gronberg, Gregory Havret, and Patrick Sjoland.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Defending champion Rikard Karlberg got off to a good start with a round of 64 in the Italian Open as the first round eventually finished. Karlberg was one of seven picks to make the Top 5 Low Round scores which meant scores of 66 or lower were in the points. Sand had the most picks score with four but he didn't have Karlberg. BlueCoverman did and he had two others score to join Sand at the top of the leaderboard. Kwinigolfer and Owen10ozzy also had three picks score. Davie, McLaren, and Pedro each had two picks score while AlciG, EmmDee57, GolferMartin, I'm Never Wrong, LadyPutt, SetupDetermines, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver all had one pick score. Super_Realist also picked Karlberg.

Stephen Gallacher withdrew after a first round 71 which impacts GolferMartin and I'm Never Wrong.

Not sure if Thomas Bjorn has withdrawn; the ET website seemed to suggest he had but not showing on the leaderboard. Eyetoldyouso would be the only one impacted if he does withdraw.

Round two finished and Fantasy Leaguers said goodbye to two fifths of their picks.  Category B proved most problematic as not one cut bonus was awarded there while just four were awarded in Category C.  Pedro has the most picks left with eight, he lost Thorbjorn Olesen who missed the cut by some margin.  AlciG, BlueCoverman, Kwinigolfer, and Owen10ozzy each have seven picks left and Kwinigolfer was the only other Fantasy Leaguer to score two cut bonuses.  Davie, LadyPutt, SetupDetermines, and SirBenson all have six picks left and all earned a cut bonus.  EmmDee57, Sand, and TheCleaver each have five picks left, Sand and TheCleaver earned a cut bonus.  Eyetoldyouso, GolferMartin, I'm Never Wrong, McLaren, and Super_Realist all have four picks left; Eyetoldyouso earned the final cut bonus.

If you were called Chris you had a good shot at low round of the day.  Chris Paisley and Chris Wood both shot 63 while Chris Hanson shot 65.  I'm Never Wrong earned points from Chris Wood.

Nineteen players shot 66 or better to make the Top 10 Low Round scores. Thirteen of those were picks and one of them was Alex Levy who also had the low round of the day with a 63. SetupDetermines was the only one to pick Levy and he added another scoring pick however he was by no means the highest scoring Fantasy Leaguer in round three. The honour goes to AlciG who had five of his picks score but he's not in the lead as Kwinigolfer by virtue of four picks score leapfrogged BlueCoverman who also had two scoring picks. Eyetoldyouso, GolferMartin, I'm Never Wrong, Pedro, Sand, SirBenson, and TheCleaver also had two scoring picks. Davie, LadyPutt, McLaren, and Owen10ozzy had just the one scoring pick.

Byeong Hun An managed to get himself disqualified and that impacts BlueCoverman, LadyPutt, McLaren, Pedro, Sand, and SetupDetermines.

Kwinigolfer strolled to victory in the Italian Open courtesy of Francesco Molinari and runner up Danny Willet. He also threw in top ten finisher and low round scorer Tommy Fleetwood to add to the margin of victory. He didn't have the most scoring picks, that fell to Owen10ozzy and SetuPDetermines who both had four scoring picks. Owen also picked Molinari and Willett but ultimately didn't have enough supporting quality. Sand also had three scoring picks matching Kwini's points haul but he started too far back to challenge. BlueCoverman, Eyetoldyouso, I'm Never Wrong, SirBenson, and TheCleaver also had three scoring picks of varying quality. AlciG, Davie, EmmDee57, McLaren, Pedro, and Super_Realist all had two scoring picks; AlciG and Pedro both had Molinari but their other picks didn't help out too much. GolferMartin and LadyPutt had one scoring pick each.

Tommy Fleetwood shot 64 for the low round of the day.
