V2 WWC 2016- 1st Round Group E

The 2016 V2 WWC continues with day 3, I used to write witty comments at this bit but I'm tired

Please vote for the wrestler you believe has generated the best work in the past 12 months

Went Styles and Pentagon Jr.

Tough call as a fan of Sami and Rusev but got to go with the 2 best entertainers.

This is a harsh group as someone who deserves it is likely to go behind. I went for AJ and Rusev in the end.

AJ is having one of the best 'rookie' years in WWE history. He's been - pardon the pun - phenomenal and has been bringing the absolute best out of all his opponents. The only complaint I have to make is WWE should have signed him years ago.

Rusev has really managed to shake off the stink of last year with the Ziggler/Summer/Lana Poopie and the League of Nations. He's really re-established himself and proven that he can do everything and can do it well. And he married Lana, which is better than any championship.

Styles and Zayn.

Zayn/Nakamura was this calendar year.

Styles and Rusev. 

I'd be surprised if AJ Styles doesn't win outright. He's had one of the best debut years in WWE history after his final matches in NJPW.

Rusev has been consistently good for a while now, even when he's given rubbish storylines he does what he can to make it work. He's underrated in the ring as well. I think there's a reason WWE has used him when Goldberg and less recently The Rock returned and it's because he's a good heel and is great at making others look good.

Sami Zayn has been disappointing for a while, his match quality is good but he's really struggling to be memorable. He's not being helped by his booking, but I worry that he's becoming another Dolph Ziggler, albeit better at everything.

How disappointing has Apollo Crews been by the way? I saw him as Uhaa Nation in Preston last year and I thought he was fantastic. He has the look and athleticism of a star but he's been SO boring.

Styles and Rusev, think Styles has grabbed the brass ring and just not looked back, not seen a 'heel' as over as him in a long time.

Rusev has done some fantastic work also..... after the whole Cena feud squash..... he is back as a legitimate threat and pulls off the role very well.

Apollo Crewes has all the tools to be a star, but was hotshotted to the main roster far too quick. He never developed anything close to a character for him in NXT. If they're not going to develop a character beyond 'super athlete who loves wrestling and loves being here' then they need to book him to look really strong in his matches, and have that be what gets him over, but I always felt they were holding him back a bit in that regard.

He's not wowed me as much as he can, but I think thats been down to writing more than him.

I wrote a long peice breaking down each of the guys but it seems to dissapeared so to sum up Styles clear first with Sami second for the quality of his high end matches, Rusev a close 3rd for his character work

Crews is now Kofi Kingston. Happy and black, and that's a character for them.

If you're going to bring Crews up so soon, which is a mistake but never mind, he should be squashing people with his awesome offence not selling for 70% of the match

I voted Styles, that doesn't really need any justification.

And Dane Brooke, which also doesn't need any justification.

Who's Dane Brooke? That needs justification.

In all seriousness though, I would cut my own fingers off to sniff her bath water.
