PS to my last post - I have a vague recollection from childhood that my grandmother (who lived in Worcestershire) knew the parents of the Richardson brothers. No way I can find out now, sadly. Lesson for today's younger generation - ask things of your family, you won't always have the chance! Whistle

Even by today's standards Oakman was tall - not surprising with a wingspan like his that he was such a fine close fielder, and responsible for 5 catches in Laker's haul, more than 25%.
