One event after having no one in the top three spots the Fantasy League managed to have the trifecta but no one managed more than one top three placed pick.  Russell Henley shot 65 to take victory, low round spoils, and a last gasp invitation to the Masters.  Raycastleunited was the beneficiary of his fine play and despite adding a top 10 finisher into the equation it wasn't enough to complete a Henley like charge of his own.  Wiretapper had three picks score points including one of the top three and that was enough to hold off Davie and LadyPutt who had three and two scoring picks respesctively.  I'm Never Wrong, McLaren, and TheCleaver also had three scoring picksas they finished together in a tie for tenth.  AlciG, Be_the_Ball, Eyetoldyouso, Owen10ozzy, SetupDetermines, and Super_Realist all had two picks score points; BtB was the only one not to have a top three placed pick from this group.  Pedro, Robopz, Sand, and SirBenson all had one pick score points while Beninho, EmmDee57, GPB, and Kwinigofler all MDF'd with no scoring picks.

World number one, Dustin Johnson, fresh off of winning the final piece of the WGC trophy set headlines the field in Humble, Texas.  Jim Herman returns as defending champion and the only relatively recent winners missing from the field are Paul Casey and Anthony Kim.  J.B. Holmes, Matt Jones, D.A. Points, Hunter Mahan, Phil Mickelson, Johnson Wagner, Adam Scott, Stuart Appleby, Vijay Singh, and Robert Allenby will all be playing.  The Houston Open is also the last chance for the uninvited to become invited to the Masters with the winner earning a trip down Magnolia Lane.  Recent history suggests it is possible as Herman, Jones, Points, and Wagner have done just that.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Fowler earned points for Davie, Eyetoldyouso, SetupDetermines, Super_Realist, and WireTapper. Wire also had the other popular pick to score points, Jhonattan Vegas. Vegas was also picked by AlciG, Be_the_ball, I'mNeverWrong, and McLaren. Alci had one of the other scoring picks, Sung Kang, too. Kang was also picked by Owen10ozzy. Stewart Cink was the final pick to score points; GPB and SirBenson earned those points.

The usually safe Category A proved to be problematic for the Fantasy League as just one Fantasy Leaguer earned a cut bonus from this category.  WireTapper earned that bonus and was one of three to almost keep the full set; Davie and Eyetoldyouso also lost one pick.  I'm Never Wrong, LadyPutt, Owen10ozzy, and Pedro all have seven picks left and all except LP earned two cut bonuses.  AlciG and Raycastleunited both have six picks left and earned two and one cut bonus respectively.  Kwinigolfer, McLaren, Robopz, Sand, SirBenson, and TheCleaver all have five picks left, just Mac and Robo earned a cut bonus.  Be_the_Ball, Beninho, GPB, and SetupDetermines all have four picks left, GPB earned the final cut bonus.  Both EmmDee57 and Super_Realist have three picks left.

Sung Kang looked like he was playing a different golf course or skipped a couple of holes as he followed up a round of 65 with a 63.  Alci and Owen earned points from his fine play.  The cut line fell at even par and as 81 players are set to play the weekend a secondary cut will be implemented.

Luke List had the round of the day with a 65 after Rickie Fowler had an oops on his final hole. Scores needed to for inclusion in the Top 10 Low Round scores were 69 or lower. Seven picks managed to do that and both LadyPutt and TheCleaver had three of them. Davie, Eyetoldyouso, Pedro, Raycastleunited, Sand, and Super_Realist each had two picks score while AlciG, Be_the_Ball, Kwinigolfer, McLaren, Owen10ozzy, and SetupDetermines all had one pick score points.

With 81 players in round three a second cut was introduced and four picks packed their bags and left without finishing the tournament. Davie had two of them while Beninho, GPB, I'm Never Wrong, Owen, Pedro, and Ray all lost one pick.

One event after having no one in the top three spots the Fantasy League managed to have the trifecta but no one managed more than one top three placed pick.  Russell Henley shot 65 to take victory, low round spoils, and a last gasp invitation to the Masters.  Raycastleunited was the beneficiary of his fine play and despite adding a top 10 finisher into the equation it wasn't enough to complete a Henley like charge of his own.  Wiretapper had three picks score points including one of the top three and that was enough to hold off Davie and LadyPutt who had three and two scoring picks respesctively.  I'm Never Wrong, McLaren, and TheCleaver also had three scoring picksas they finished together in a tie for tenth.  AlciG, Be_the_Ball, Eyetoldyouso, Owen10ozzy, SetupDetermines, and Super_Realist all had two picks score points; BtB was the only one not to have a top three placed pick from this group.  Pedro, Robopz, Sand, and SirBenson all had one pick score points while Beninho, EmmDee57, GPB, and Kwinigofler all MDF'd with no scoring picks.
