Keeper Rules

- 3 players per year max.
- Can keep players twice (so three years total per guy) before forcible release.
- Players take the value of their draft round in the first redraft.
- Players move up in value by 5 rounds for the second redraft, or as high as they can go otherwise.
- If you end up with stacked picks (multiple players as keepers who count as the same round) they build up backward. e.g. if my keepers are draft picks 3, 4 and 5, I would lose draft picks 3, 4 and 5 in the first redraft and 1, 2 and 3 in the second as each player would be upgraded to an effective 1st rounder by the 5 round rule and therefore stack up.
- Undrafted players are valued at round 10 for the first redraft.
- Traded players initially count as there drafted position with the +5 rule in effect for all subsequent years.
- Years of eligibility are team specific, based on the round value of the player when traded to you. e.g. if a player is drafted in round 12 and is kept by another team for one season they will be valued as a round 7 pick when traded in year two due to the +5 rule.
- Abuse of the above rule by trading away a player over the keeper period only to get them back afterward will invalidate the resetting of two year eligibility.
- Once a player has no eligibility left on a given team they will count as a 1st rounder if traded away to somebody else and retained

Welcome to the new season.

I'm not 100% sure everyone has reconfirmed their interest in this league, but I'm still treating it as all systems go because a fair number have already set keepers.

The plan is for keepers to be set by Saturday 26th August. I believe it will shut off automatically on NFL.com at the end of the US day.

In terms of draft dates, I propose the following... please let me know what does and does not work, and I will go for the maximum participants

Right, BamBam has chosen to keep Kelvin Benjamin @ Round 7, and Terelle Pryor @ Round 10 (UDFA).

Benjamin has now been kept two years in a row, so must be released next year.

Sorry for not getting my keepers in on time lads. I thought I set them at the end of last season. Obviously not, but not to worry I'll just try to draft well.

After failing to turn up to the Central draft, I'm pretty happy with this one as for once I have depth at both RB and WR. Whether any of them are any good is not quite so clear

RB - Gurley, Cook, Miller, Montgomery
WR - Benjamin, Pryor, Brown, Bryant, Wallace

Montgomery is a good pick. He may lose out long term to one of the rookie RBs but I think he could be a monster.

I'm cautiously pleased with my draft. Really tried hard to get some balance and depth at RB and WR since I often come a cropper by being too light at one of those. Got a decent TE and what should be a couple of solid to very good QBs.

Need a lot of luck but you never know...

Yeah I screwed up by forgetting to keep him and decided to be honest and let him go, rather than use my GM privileges to change it after the date once I saw the other keepers and realised!

Was a little disappointed with my draft ,one of those where the player you want continuously gets picked one or two spots before

I feel for BamBam... its Friday and he is already down 60 points...

Didn't have a bad week, but the Hogs rode the Hunt/Hill train to victory .. I'm lucky they didn't start Gillislee too!

Being an dumbass, this week, I bench Wilson for Roethlisberger....just the 21.52pts swing and another loss
