We use Transfermarkt.co.uk for prices in the league and remember that the price of the incoming player is frozen as soon as they arrive into the league.

To clarify - not sure if the player is available at midnight or at 11.31. I have been looking at Laporte for some time, this obviously needs a separate decision

From my side, the precedent was set when Olly signed Malcom just after midnight on the day he became available, having been sold in the evening 1 month earlier. I checked this to be completely sure on when Laporte became available, and no one challenged or overruled it.

So to hedge my bets, just in case
