Friendlies announcement

I thought it might be an idea to start a thread where we can keep all the friendlies discussion in one place.

I (along with the mods) will try and update this post as often as possible, so please post any new matches you want stated here.

I will kick off with a brilliant friendly just announced:

Cracking tie!

The Ospreys and Newport Gwent Dragons have agreed to play Russia in warm-up games ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

Former Wales captain Kingsley Jones agreed to coach Russia having stepped down as Sale Sharks director of rugby.

Russia will arrive at Rodney Parade on 17 August, then play the Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium on 20 August.

Having qualified for next September's World Cup in New Zealand, Russia will face Australia, Ireland, Italy and the United States in Pool C.

Ulster to play Bayonne and Harlequins in August. Could you see fit to not merge my thread with this one? It has some Ulster-specific discussion that wouldn't really interest fans of other teams

Absolutely - this thread is for everyone to see and should mean that we dont get loads of threads for each club - try and keep them in one place.

From what i heard yesterday the Scarlets have a home game first, not sure who against though, then two away games agaist Clermont and Exeter Chiefs.

Buzz - any idea when the home game will be? I know they are unimportant but I always look forward to the home pre-season match/es

SS- not to sure when the first game is, when i know i will post it on here. Should be interesting to see Regan King up againd the Scarlets for Clermont mind!
