The 2022 MotoGP grid is finally complete as South Africa’s Darryn Binder moves up from Moto3 straight to the premier class.
Binder joins Andrea Dovizioso at RNF Yamaha(rebranded SRT Yamaha team).
Big risk taken by the satellite Yamaha squad as Binder is still very raw.

Fabio Quartararo wins the 2021 MotoGP world championship after Pecco Bagnaia crashed out from the lead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Destiny fulfilled for the Frenchman. The first Frenchman to win the MotoGP championship. Emotional scenes as ‘El Diablo’ reaches the holy grail.

Marc Marquez wins back to back races for the first time since his injury woes. Pol Espargaro completed a Repsol Honda 1-2. Enea Bastianini fast charging finish to compete podium.

Ducati completed a historic MotoGP podium clean sweep as the ‘Bologna Bullets’ romped away at the season finale.
Pecco Bagnaia took P1, his fourth win in the last 6 races. Jorge Martin P2 and took top rookie honours. Jack Miller came home P3.
Ducati look to be favourites heading into 2022, especially with 8 bikes on the grid, could be a world of pain for Quartararo and co.

All that was the subplot as Valentino Rossi completed his final race of his legendary career. Rossi came home a respectable 10th.
Rossi changed motorcycling, globalised the sport. A real superstar.
For me the greatest to ever do it and I’ll miss him very much.

Toprak Razgatlioglu won the world super bike championship on his factory Yamaha.
Yamaha complete the double with Quartararo and Razgatlioglu.

Razgatlioglu rumoured to have a factory Yamaha MotoGP deal in his back pocket for 2023.
