What is everyones thoughts on this kit?

I would surprised if that is the jersey. its horrible for the most part. but I always find it tough to get a gage from these cartoon pics

but it will be the last 2 home jerseys I will not have bought

It’s not nice. Not nice at all.

I just hope they still use the same European jersey as last year. Because that was lovely. And if they do continue to sell it I can buy mine back, swapped it with a Saints fan after the HC final, which was a nice gesture and all that but I got the raw end of the deal, jersey wise.

Really hard to tell in cartoon form, but hardly impressive. I won't be running out to get one.

I like simple jerseys. The Scarlets one this year was lovely, and it wasn't overdesigned because they needed one done quickly after losing Canterbury and they got a great shirt. Connacht had a lovely and simple one too.

Its not great at all. The HC one this year was really nice.

Grey beard is right, simpler the jersey the better.

Rugbytech seem to do nice ones. Just look at the connacht jerseys

I'd like to see rugbytech do all of the provinces, keep the jersey design local. Nothing against Canterbury, they do a lot for rugby, but Rugbytech is an Irish company. Pity they no longer do the London Irish tops.

It looks like a training top on top

and on the bottom is looks like someone has wrapped a leinster flag around it

I got the old Black Connacht match day Jersey at the weekend and its pretty cool.

I hope that isn't the jersey, not just because of the design, but because of the poor PR control. Leinster Rugby & CCC should make a big deal over the release of this jersey - the club is one of the best supported in the NH.

So do you think that it might not be genuine?

It certainly looks the real deal and is on a shop website (along with many other Canterbury designed tops).

I am not saying it is - but I would be confident that it is!

All I'm saying is that if it is, then it's a major PR SNAFU for Leinster Rugby & CCC. It has no place being for sale anywhere before the fans get to buy it and the revelation should be done in a store somewhere in Leinster if not on the official site.

That I can agree with - judging by the website, it looks like all of the Canterbury tops have been given to the website.

Wasn't suggesting it wasn't worth posting about...I was simply chucking in a caveat. With Wimbledon round the corner I feel safe using the cliche "the ball is now in Leinster rugby's court".

for the record - I do think that this is genuine!

Call me an old faht if you wish but Leinster's gear has been awful for years - last good top was back in Bank of Scotland jersey days - but then that was the time we won nothing!!!

The Heineken Cup one last year was a winner in my book, and not just because they won! Was never a fan of the light blue do-hickeys around the torso, though.

I just do not understand why they don't make the European kit their usual kit. So much better than the rest. Ulster have got off lightly; our Cartoon Supporters Shirt is a bit 'out there' but I quite like our home kit and our away kit next year will be Ulster's current training shirt.

RugbyTech do London Scottish's kit if that's any consolation?

I was about to say bloody well done and have a look at what kind of job they did with the jersey, but, ahhhhh, that's Canterbury!

Is this a joke? Looks like the Leinster jersey designers have been having a few words with their Parisian counterparts. This is genuinely worse than the Stade Francais shirt.

I got one in the Leinster store in the RDS. Very nice, very simple, blue cotton with a white collar, silver crest and that's the lot.

Don't mind the top half but the adding the Samoan kitchen apron at the bottom is surely out of place on a rugby field?
