Jason Roy and Reece Topley return from England duty but Sam Curran is rested by the ECB as part of his back to playing programme. Gus Atkinson and Dan Worrall are also being rested.

totally understand Atkinson and Worrall being rested with the important red ball game against Kent sunday.
if it was up to me the four to miss out would be Burns, Lawes, Reifer and Steel

Cheers jimbob, I have to agree with your selection, Patel was a revelation in the 50 over comp last season, surely he's a better option than Burns and Reifer, and he can bowl a couple of overs, cos we look light, with Jacks, McKerr and Moriarty not bowling a full quota of 4

Did well with the ball against the travelling Sri Lanka team at Guildford

Hi chaps - I saw Lawes at Guildford against the Sri Lankan youngsters. Accurate on or just outside off and fairly sharp in his opening spell which brought 3 wickets. Less effective in his second and last spell. Didn’t bowl again in the match, another one who’s had back problems and has to be carefully managed. Handy with the bat too, I believe although not seen him with the willow.

Absolutely wild that he's leapfrogged Patel. If you're not confident in Patel's bowling then you still have Jacks who's been very good the last couple of years.
