6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

*We start with a major recap from last week. We see the Acer/Clarke James announcement as well as the brutality of Marty Helms/Tyler Roth in the main event. The video package ends with both Helms and Roth’s broken bodies amidst the wreckage of their collision.

*Live inside the Braehead Arena in Glasgow and the fans are going wild as “All of the lights” plays out and pyros explode into the air. The commentators welcome us to the show and they run down the card and debate on what we can expect to see here tonight.

*Eddy Kent is kicking us off. Kent is, as ever, full of himself and wants us to watch the footage of him allowing time to elapse during the tag match last week as well as the subsequent attack on Uryu in the back. Kent is proclaiming himself the best in the world and he wants to prove it at “Against the Wall”. He says nobody deserves the opportunity more than him. He has yet to taste pinfall or submission victory since returning to 6CWF and he has proven beyond any doubt that he is better than the current champion. Kent wants the I’s dotted and the t’s crossed….

*Here comes JJ Johnson, drawing a huge response from the crowd. JJ says he has a lot to deal with tonight but he admits he has neglected the in-ring aspect of proceedings as of late so tonight he wants to the set the record straight. Says the Board met and the decision was unanimous that Kent will get his shot at Uryu at the pay per view, which draws some boos from the crowd.

Kent is glad that JJ is out here and that confirmation has been made. Kent now wants it known that he has no intention of competing tonight for a shot at the European Championship when he has the world title within touching distance. JJ slows him up and says that’s not how it works. Too many people trying to worm their way out of contracted matches right now (hello Clarke James). So he’s going to make it real simple….Eddy Kent needs to get his a55 out to the ring later for the six pack challenge or JJ is revoking his shot at the title, capiche. Kent is not happy but he shrugs his shoulders in acceptance. The commentators then hype Kent vs Ishida for the 6CW Championship in what promises to be a quality contest.

*Backstage and Uryu has arrived. He receives a text and he smiles at his phone before stowing it away. Daniel Reilly, Kelsey and Drake Callihan intercept him. Drake Callihan knows a man in love when he sees one. They mock Uryu as Reilly eyes up the 6CW Championship belt. Reilly tells Uryu that the belt will also belong to him and after he gets through with Ishida tonight he is coming back for what should be his. Uryu tells Reilly that he should be watching out for Liam Wood and maybe should try winning an actual match first before proclaiming himself a contender. Kelsey slaps Uryu. Here comes Christy. She asks if there is a problem but Reilly and co just smirk and walk away. Christy checks on Uryu and thanks him for dinner last week. She asks if Uryu has heard the news about Kent and he points to his phone saying he got the notification. Promises that Kent is in for the fight of his life. Uryu walks off leaving Christy in a contemplative mood.

*Rex Adamson has arrived. He heads for his usual changing room but finds Cassidy in there. Rex wants Cassidy out but Cassidy stands his ground and says he would hate to embarrass Rex again like he did last week. Rex thinks about throwing a punch but just smirks and heads out the door. Cassidy produces the branding iron and looks deep in thought.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Bout 1
Uryu Ishida vs Daniel Reilly

*First bout of the night and the crowd are full of life inside the Braehead Arena as Daniel Reilly makes his entrance, accompanied by Kelsey Callihan. There is plenty of abuse ringing out as they make their way across the ramp toward the ring. Kelsey delivers a kiss on Reilly’s cheek as the commentators wonder about the exact nature of their relationship. Jeff Thadeus moves on to talk about Liam Wood’s challenge toward Drake Callihan and Daniel Reilly for Against The Wall and how they are expected to give an answer by the end of tonight.

*RJ says for the time being Reilly needs to concentrate on the match at hand and the fact that he is yet to get off the mark here in 6CWF, despite his link up with The Callihans. JT says it isn’t going to get any easier tonight for Reilly as he faces off against the 6CW World Champion.

*Cheers into the rafters as Uryu makes his entrance. We get a recap on last week’s match and subsequent attack from Eddy Kent but as usual Uryu is bouncing and looking ready to put on a performance. RJ says that Uryu is on of the most professional superstars he has seen in his career and he has an incredible ability to fight through adversity. Jeff Thadeus says the ongoing scenario with Christy James and Gazzy cannot be ignored but wonders just how Ishida is going to balance that with his issues with Eddy Kent as well as taking on Daniel Reilly here tonight.

*Uryu climbs up onto the ropes and shows his appreciation to the fans for the support as Reilly runs across and attacks him. The crowd are booing as Reilly pummels Uryu, slumping him across the turnbuckle, and then pulls him into position so he can nail a hangman’s DDT, really dumping Ishida on his head. Reilly looks pleased and the fans concerned as he makes the cover….Uryu gets his boot on the ropes and Reilly curses his luck.

*Reilly stomps all over Uryu, targetting any and every body part, before he drags him up and nails a big vertical suplex. Reilly drinks in the boos of the crowd and then points to the ropes. He goes high and prepares for the frogsplash but Uryu rolls from the ring and sits on the apron. Kelsey taunts Uryu as Reilly jumps down off the turnbuckle and then runs over and lashes a kick against the world champion’s back, forcing him to fall down to the hard flooring.

*Reilly wants the referee to count but then changes his mind on three. He clatters Uryu from behind and lifts him up before dropping him across the ringside barrier. He then grabs his wrist and sends him against the steel steps Reilly shakes his head at Ishida and can be heard saying to the crowd “This is what counts for a world champion nowadays?”. Reilly drags Uryu up and slams his head against the Spanish announce desk before running him forwards and throws him back into the ring.

*Reilly slithers in, stalking Uryu, and he waits for the champion to rise before leaping up for the RKO but Uryu puts the brakes on and then amazingly counters with a poisonrana, dumping Reilly on the back of his neck. Reilly staggers back up in the corner and Uryu flies into him with a running dropkick before following in again with a monkey flip. Ishida points to the top rope and the crowd go wild as he leaps up. Uryu prepares for the “Split Second” as Kelsey Callihan climbs onto the apron for the distraction.

*Uryu is trying to get Kelsey down as Reilly runs over and leaps into a solid European uppercut under the chin. The crowd are booing as Kelsey blows kisses to them and then Reilly delivers a huge superplex from on high that gets him a two count. Reilly complains to the referee and then lands an elbow drop to the chest of Uryu. He trash talks him and then drags him up. He flips him into a powerbomb position for a fallout neckbreaker but Uryu drops out and springs onto the ropes before twisting back with a tornado DDT. Reilly kicks out on two.

*Reilly gets up and Uryu runs in behind him with a fierce kick to the calf. Reilly staggers and Ishida targets the other calf, taking Reilly off his feet, before spinning on his heel and he lands a standing moonsault. Uryu stumbles to the ropes and climbs out onto the apron. He prepares for the springboard forearm but Kelsey grabs his foot.

*The referee has seen enough and he tells Kelsey to leave ringside, which sparks huge cheers from the crowd. Kelsey throws a fit and is screaming at the referee as Uryu waves at her. He springboards in now but straight into a leaping dropkick from Reilly. Ishida stumbles up and is twisted into a powerslam for a two count. Reilly stomps down on Uryu’s back and pummels him. He drags him up and whips him into the ropes before following. Uryu shows his athleticism to feint around the ropes (619 style) and lands both feet into Reilly’s gut. Reilly doubles up as Uryu leaps over the top rope from the apron and lands an outstanding “Code Red” sunset flip bomb for two.

*They scramble back up and Uryu leaps up for a hurricanrana and pulls Reilly down into a pinning combo for two. Up again and Uryu dives in for a spinning heel kick but Reilly catches his foot and drops him down for an anklelock. Uryu yells and scrambles for the ropes but Reilly drags him back. Uryu spins out on his back and uses his free foot to kick free of Reilly and gets back up. Reilly runs back in for a clothesline but Uryu ducks it and leaps onto the ropes. Reilly spins quickly and pulls Uryu’s legs out so that he drops, throat first, across the top rope. Reilly pulls Uryu to the centre and nails a fallout neckbreaker for two.

*Reilly has more words for the referee and heads for the corner. He is up on top for the frogsplash but Uryu is up. Ishida sprints to the corner and uses the ropes to leap up and land a huge enzeguiri (ala Alberto Del Rio) to the temple which slumps Reilly. Uryu climbs back up and nails a top rope hurricanrana. Reilly hits the deck and rolls over into a seated posiion as Ishida superkicks him in the back of the head, leaving him flat.

JT: Reilly is out…..without Kelsey Callihan his control on this match has drastically slipped…

RJ: He’s in there with the reigning world champion and it is showing….I hope Eddy Kent is watching because this is the man he wants to face of the 6CW Championship….Uryu Ishida does not fold easily…..SPLIT SECOND!

Cheers all around the arena as Uryu goes up high again and he spins off the top into the 450 splash that lands with devastating effect. Daniel Reilly offers no resistance as Uryu hooks both legs….

1.
..
...2
..
………..3!

JT: Ishida wins….big showing to kick off tonight from our 6CW Champion…

RJ: That’s why he is the man at the top of the mountain right now…..tremendous effort…

JT: Reilly showed why he’s been to the top table twice before but he just cannot buy a win….that’s seven defeats on the bounce….

RJ: No wonder he’s so angry at the moment...one of 6CW’s Originals just cannot stop his career from sputtering….

JT: Whereas Uryu’s continues to go from strength to strength….he’s looking imperious right now….Eddy Kent may be around the corner but I don’t think Ishida should be fearing anyone with this form…

“Mr Blue Sky” is playing out as Uryu climbs back onto the turnbuckle and raises the 6CW Championship into the air. Daniel Reilly has skulked from the ring and has an angry expression on his face as he watches Ishida’s celebration.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 8:47 am

*JJ and Alex Walker are in discussion. JJ says first plan tonight is getting to the bottom of this whole Drake/Oko problem. Walker says he can take care of it but JJ says he needs to step up and lead. They move onto Clarke James sending flowers to Acer’s family last week. JJ is still fired up and he knows Clarke James is due in the building any minute. Walker asks about Acer but JJ says he’s back in Wales with his head in the game, readying himself for the big fight.

Walker thinks JJ made the correct call naming Eddy Kent the #1 contender. JJ knows that Walker and Kent are close but the decision was a no brainer. Kent’s record warrants a shot and the needle is there as a selling point.

Walker asks about Roth and Helms. JJ says there is strictly a no contact rule between the pair until he decides the next move. He’s promising fines, suspensions and stripping of titles if his orders are not heeded. JJ loves a bloody rivalry, he had plenty himself, but control still needs to be exercised and after one of the EMT’s broke a leg last week he cannot afford to put anyone else in danger.

*JJ says by the end of tonight we will have our semi-finalists and the whole “Against The Wall” picture will be much clearer.

*Johnny Oko is sitting in his locker-room, his head bowed and he is deep in thought. An older gentlemen walks in, dressed in a white robe, and he speaks with Oko in Japanese. It seems that they know the game is up and JJ Johnson is aware of the truth. Oko raises his head with a smile, now the war will begin.

*GazzyD arrives with Kristal. Kristal says she needs a bathroom break. Cameron Faith intercepts Gazzy. Wants to know what he is thinking. Faith is still ticked off that Gazzy cheated him last week but understands the game. But he warns Gazzy that Kristal will only destroy his career. Gazzy appreciates Faith’s concern but is very happy with his decision making and advises that Faith keep his comments and opinions to himself.

*Tyler Roth is shown attending UFC over the weekend and in talks with Dana White at cageside. Rumours swirling that perhaps a big contract off could be in the pipeline. We see clips of interviews involving Roth where he says he was visiting home to heal up after last week but he’ll be back next week and he wants his shot at Marty Helms.

Bout 2
Road to Royalty
Johnny Oko vs ???

*Johnny Oko goes through the whole elaborate entrance as per usual, flanked by his “Kings guard”. He places his “Katana” onto the red cushion as the Geishas bow at him and then all four members of his entourage leave ringside as their leader heads for the ring. Oko positions himself in the centre of the ring as the commentators talk about how, as far as they know, Oko does not have an opponent here tonight due to the “no contest” between Roth/Helms last week.

*Out comes Drake Cabowers, drawing a few raised eyebrows. Drake says that tonight JJ Johnson has placed him in charge of the “Road to Royalty” and that he is out here to inform Johnny Oko that he has been given a bye to the semi-finals of the tournament, which draws major boos from the audience. Drake congratulates Oko on his achievement and wishes him luck before leaving the ringside area.

*The commentators debate on Drake’s decision to grant Oko the bye and there is some surprise that perhaps he didn’t replace Helms/Roth with one of the men who missed out in the first round. Oko’s “King’s Guard” and “Geishas” return to the ring now. Oko is robed once more and then he and his entourage leave the ring, the boos continuing from the audience.

*We get a shot of backstage and JJ Johnson and Alex Walker are waiting as Drake Cabowers walks back through. Drake seems surprised to see them as JJ tells him “I think we need to talk, playa”. Drake looks concerned and tries to find answers from Alex Walker’s face but gets none. Drake follows JJ and Walker toward the 6CWF Boardroom.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 8:50 am

*Clarke James and his lawyer, Ari Goldstein, have arrived in the building. Jack Reynolds wants an interview but Goldstein says “no press”. They walk away, James with an evil smirk on his face, as Reynolds is left to watch them go.

*JJ Johnson is standing across the Boardroom from Drake Cabowers. JJ has photographs and sheets over paper all over the table. He knows the game and what has been going on. Drake is a front man for Oko’s dirty money and it was Oko who bought the stake in the company. Drake tries to deny but JJ snaps and grabs his arm. We see the missing area on the right hand where Drake’s finger used to be and then a tattoo on his wrist that symbolises his ties to Oko’s yakuza outfit. JJ says this was never supposed to be a dirty operation and right now he feels like smashing Drake’s skull in.

Drake admits he made a mistake but he’s in too deep, Oko will never release him or his stake in the company. JJ says leave that to me because he can make offers that nobody refuses. Drake wants to know what JJ plans on doing to him. JJ looks at Drake in disgust but says he isn’t worth the effort. Says Drake has a clause in his contract that says he can compete whenever JJ sees fit. So next week Drake’s whole career and position in this company will be on the line.

*Scott Harris is pumped ahead of his “Road to Royalty” match. Harris says he has never been more focused and he’s determined to win the tournament and finally become a world champion. Clarissa wants to know if Harris knows who he would choose to face if he wins. Harris says he’s hoping Tyler Roth can become world champion and perhaps he and his friend can put on a masterclass. But Harris admits that he wants to be the man that dethrones Marty Helms.

*Cody Walker is stretching ahead of tonight’s six pack challenge. Alex Walker interrupts his son and wants to wish him luck. Cody isn’t interested but Walker lets slip that he campaigned for his son to be in this match. This rubs Cody up the wrong way and says he doesn’t need his dad’s help. Alex Walker looks a little crestfallen as Cody walks away. Cody bumps into Cassidy and Cassidy mocks him for relying on “daddy” for the chances. Cassidy says he doesn’t need anyone to hand him anything because he’s going to take it all.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Bout 3
Road to Royalty
Cassidy vs Scott Harris

*Back at ringside and we get a recap from last week as Cassidy attempted to attack Scott Harris as a prelude to tonight’s match but was thwarted by Cody Walker. Back to tonight and Harris has vowed to teach Cassidy a lesson as he takes one step closer to becoming “King”.

*Cassidy is the first out to the ring and boos from out as he stands on the stage and basks in the golden lights now shining from the stage. Cassidy is pointing to himself and declaring himself the winner of the “Road to Royalty” as he swaggers across the ramp and into the ring. The commentators talk up Cassidy’s return to 6CWF and the fact he is 3-0 since coming back. Jeff Thadeus remarks on Cassidy’s newfound cerebral nature and how it has stood him in great stead. RJ tells us that Cassidy’s methods and outlook is extremely “self absorbed” but it is his desire to “brand” his opponents that really pushes the envelope. JT reminds us of what he did to Finlay and what he planned to do to Scott Harris last week with the branding iron.

*Cassidy is pacing the ring before Scott Harris makes his entrance, met by a thunderous ovation. Harris in no mood to wait around as he storms the ring and leaps in, only for Cassidy to leave the ring before Harris can get at him. Harris is all fired up as the referee tries to keep him under wraps. Cassidy slowly returns to the ring but orders the referee to keep Harris away from him. The bell sounds and Harris walks Cassidy down but he immediately grabs the ropes and Harris is forced to withdraw. Cassidy repeats the process again as the crowd boo. Harris is yelling at the referee and then he turns and is poked in the eye by Cassidy.

*Cassidy lands several right hands and then looks for an Irish whip but Harris turns inside and drags Cassidy into a huge overhead belly to belly suplex. Cassidy stumbles back up and Harris lands punches, backing him up, and the whips him across the ring. Harris drops his head for a backdrop so Cassidy kicks him in the head. Cassidy then runs forward for a discus lariat but Harris ducks and snaps off a release German suplex.

*Harris runs in behind Cassidy as he rises and dives into a chopblock. He stomps down on Cassidy’s leg and then tries to drag him into a sharpshooter but Cassidy leans up and rakes the eyes, sparking more boos. Cassidy gets up and runs in behind Harris to nail the “Idolatry” (Zigzag neckbreaker) which gains a two count.

*Cassidy backs up in the corner for the “Sins of our father” spear but Harris counters with a drop toe hold and goes for the submission again. Cassidy kicks out and he catches Harris in the eye, sending him staggering away. Cassidy charges at Harris in the corner but he sidesteps and sends him against the turnbuckle. Harris does a lap of the ring and returns with a stinger splash before dragging Cassidy into a t-bone suplex for a two count.

*Harris goes for the “codebreaker” but Cassidy catches his legs and lets him drop to the mat. Cassidy catapults Harris into the corner and then spins him into a sidewalk slam as he returns before nailing a lionsault for a nearfall.

*Cassidy heads up top but Harris sprints in and up the turnbuckle before nailing a huge armdrag from on high. They stumble back up and Harris nails two consecutive German suplexes and then he slams a forearm into the back of Cassidy’s neck and lifts him into a big time back suplex for two.

*Harris takes his chance now to go the ropes but Cassidy jumps against the ropes and forces his opponent to fall into a crotched position. Cassidy smirks at the reception of the crowd and then climbs out onto the apron. He lifts Harris off the ropes into a fisherman’s position before dropping him down into a DDT on the apron. The crowd are wincing and looking concerned as Cassidy gets back in and demands the referee counts.

*Harris is clearly hurting a lot but he manages to get back in the ring on the count of nine. Cassidy stomps down on his opponent several times, targeting the neck and head, before dragging him up. Harris sags to his knees again and Cassidy slaps him in the face before running off the ropes and returns with a heavy boot to the face for another two.

*Cassidy screams at the referee to “do your job” before concentrating back on Harris. He wills him up and then dives in for the “Heavenly Hosts” (RKO) but Harris locks his hands around the waist and counters with another German suplex. Harris keeps his hands locked and nails another four suplexes as the crowd go wild. Harris heads for the corner and nails a frogsplash this time but Cassidy just manages to throw his shoulder up.

*Harris wills Cassidy up and looks for the “Shot in the dark” (Olympic Slam) but Cassidy leaps over the back and rolls Harris up for two. They get back up and Cassidy lands a brutal kick to the stomach and then leaps up for an inverted STO for another two. Cassidy is starting to get frustrated now and he kneels over Harris before scoring with big closed punches, forcing the referee to warn him.

*Cassidy waits for Harris to get up and then spins in for the “Purification” (Judas Effect) but Harris ducks into it and nails the “Shot in the dark”. Harris hooks both legs and it looks all over but Cassidy somehow manages to reach the bottom rope with his boot. Harris looks annoyed with himself for allowing the match to slip away. He grabs Cassidy’s legs and pulls him to the centre for the sharpshooter but is pulled into a cradle for two.

*The commentators remind us that the quarter finals have a twenty minute time limit which is why this match is still ongoing, having reached fifteen minutes. Both men get back up and Harris looks for the codebreaker again but Cassidy catches his legs and dumps him down on the mat before bridging over for a two. They scramble up again and Cassidy forward rolls before leaping up for a front dropkick but Harris catches his legs and dumps him down. Harris catapults his opponent into the ropes, scrambling him against the middle, and Harris crashes into the side of his head for a shining wizard. Harris pulls Cassidy away and covers but only gets a two.

*Harris drags Cassidy up and slugs him back against the ropes. He looks for an Irish whip and drop his head for a backdrop on the comeback but Cassidy counters with a facebuster across his knee (ala Triple H). Harris is swaying as Cassidy nails a version of the “crossrhodes” but Harris shows amazing resiliency to kick out.

*Cassidy heads to the corner and climbs up. He wills Harris up and then leaps off for an overhang neckbreaker but Harris shows great power and presence of mind to catch Cassidy on his shoulders. Harris staggers slightly but keeps upright before spinning Cassidy off his shoulders into a crunching backbreaker across his knee. Harris quickly drags Cassidy up into a suplex and then flips him out into another backbreaker before covering for a two.

*The crowd are striking up a “this is awesome” chant as Harris wipes sweat from his brow. He drags Cassidy up again and rocks him back into the corner with big punches. He whips Cassidy across to the opposite corner and then sprints over for another splash. Cassidy moves this time and runs off the ropes for the “sins of our father” spear. The crowd go wild as somehow Harris is able to kick out on two.

*Cassidy looks ready to breakdown. He drops from the ring and begins searching for something before he brings out the solid metal branding iron. The crowd are booing as Cassidy gets back in but the referee runs over and tries to pull it off him. They tussle for a moment before Harris clatters into them, knocking the referee to a knee. Harris quickly looks for another “Shot in the dark” but Cassidy leaps over the shoulder and lands a low blow before rolling Harris up with a handful of fights. Cassidy has his feet on the ropes as well. The referee counts and it looks over until the official sees Cassidy’s feet on the ropes and stops the pin

*Cassidy and then referee argue again. Harris gets to his knees and then starts to rise as Cassidy shoves past the referee and looks for the “Purification” (Judas Effect) again but Harris ducks it and he snaps off a release dragon suplex that crushes Cassidy in the corner. Harris then drags Cassidy forward with a double underhook and he flips him into another backbreaker before grabbing his legs…

JT: SHARPSHOOTER….HE’S GOT IT!

RJ: Centre of the ring, nowhere for Cassidy to go…

Cassidy is screeching in pain and desperately tries to claw his way across the canvass to the safety of the ropes. He reaches out to grab hold and it looks as though he has made it but Harris pulls him back to the centre and sits right into the submission…

JT: This is applied perfectly….the pressure on the back of Cassidy has to be excruciating….

RJ: Scott Harris may be closing in…...SCOTT HARRIS ADVANCES….HE’S DONE IT!

Cassidy looks in agony, his face reddened, as he is forced to furiously tap his hand to the mat. The crowd are going wild as Harris releases the submission and the referee raises his arm in victory…

JT: What a match...that was spectacular…

RJ: They went eighteen minutes in an absolute classic….Cassidy continues to impress, despite his questionable tactics, but tonight he came up just short and Scott Harris has booked his place in the semi-finals of the “Road to Royalty”….

JT: Scott Harris looking more and more like an elite level performer each time we saw him...he was pushed to his limits tonight but his determination and desire to be considered the best has seen him come through…

RJ: He was also up against a young stallion who isn’t afraid to break the rules in order to win….lord knows what Cassidy may have done if he was able to use that branding iron…

JT: Tremendous refereeing to prevent that from happening….

“Figure it out” continues to play as Harris beats his chest and then heads to the corner so that he can celebrate with his fans. Cassidy has rolled from the ring with an ugly expression on his face, clearly seething at what has just happened.

RJ: Scott Harris and Johnny Oko are our first semi-finalists….still two more spaces left….who will join them in their quest to become “King” of 6CWF…

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 8:53 am

*We see Marty Helms entering the building. He is banged up and looking heavy on his feet. Tim Allen wants an interview but Helms yells at him to (beep) off. JJ Johnson walks out to meet Helms. Says he hopes Helms got the message about no contact with Tyler Roth. Helms says he doesn’t take orders but JJ warns him that he’ll take the title from him. JJ tells Helms that is expected in the medical room for further tests. Helms looks ready to lash out but instead he just barges past JJ and heads for the trainers room.

*Lex Hart is interviewed. Lex says he wants some god damn clarification. If Robin Reborn has a 6CWF contract then Hart wants a match with him. He is sick and tired of playing games and getting jumped from behind. Lex says he wants the match and someone better make it happen.

*Geoff Steel comes out to ringside, met by a deafening roar from the audience. The commentators talk about how Steel is still chasing a first win in 6CWF but it isn’t for the lack of trying. Steel gets on the mic. Says he knows tonight he has an opportunity to become #1 contender to the European Championship and his fans can rest assured he will be doing his utmost to win that match and take the gold from Mike Hill.

But Steel is out here because wants Blue Dragon….says Dragon isn’t man enough to admit that he has a problem with Steel despite sucker punching him last week….Steel doesn’t know or care about Dragon’s issues with JJ and the Board….doesn’t care if he works here or he doesn’t…..Steel may have overlooked the first interruption but last week made it personal...the moment Blue Dragon put hands on him, he made it an issue…

Steel wants Dragon out here now to sort this out but there is no sign of BD….the crowd are booing and Steel explains that he did everything he could...but maybe Dragon isn’t the fighting man he claims to be….maybe he’s a coward..

Steel finishes by saying “I’ll be waiting” before leaving ringside. The commentators are surprised Dragon hasn’t shown yet but expect this one to erupt as soon as he does.

*A Robin Reborn advert for Amazon Prime plays to the booing audience. It seems perhaps Robin Reborn hasn’t made the trip to tonight’s event.

*JJ barges into Clarke James’ changing room. CJ is leant against the wall, his “COH” pendants on display. Ari Goldstein starts talking laws and rights but JJ shuts him down. He looks at CJ and says he doesn’t recognise the man before him. Says what CJ did last week was sick...promises that Acer will exact his pound of flesh at Against The Wall….CJ just continues to stare at the wall, ignoring JJ. Johnson leaves and CJ looks up, the smile returning to his face as Ari Goldstein talks to him about contacting VIP Promotions to complain about maltreatment.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 8:56 am

Bout 4
Lex Hart vs Marty Helms

*The commentators start off by talking about how this next match barely got the green light. Marty Helms was cleared just moments ago by medical staff following last week’s hellacious encounter with Tyler Roth. They reiterate what we have heard in regards to Roth & Helms being told not to lay a finger on one another or risk suspension and Helms being potentially stripped of his world title. JJ Johnson was extremely unhappy that an EMT was seriously hurt last week trying to tend to the fallen warriors. Jeff Thadeus reminds us that Lex Hart is having his own difficulties in the shape of Robin Reborn. As of yet, tonight, we have heard nothing from Reborn but one would imagine he is going to rear his head at some point given his appearances over the last few weeks.

*Lex Hart is the first out, drawing cheers, and it is clear to see he is wearing the bruises of damage following last week’s attack from Reborn. There is a cut across the bridge of Hart’s nose and he has bruising on the side of his face. He walks across the rampway and climbs into the ring, his eyes full of focus. RJ reminds us that Lex’s run of form has been pretty poor since an opening night win but should he somehow leave here tonight victorious then he is going to put a lot of eyes back on himself.

*Marty Helms then arrives, greeted by sheets of boos from the audience. Helms is also battered and bruised following last week and Jeff Thadeus tells us that Helms’ nose is probably broken as well as damage to his ribs and back after falling off the top of the entranceway and then off the stage. Helms, however, demanded to be able to fight here tonight and is once again proving his credentials as a legitimate war machine

*The commentators debate on the magnitude of this match and how it wouldn’t be out of place at a pay per view event. Lex Hart is one of the very few to hold both 6WF & 6CW World Championships whereas Marty Helms is very much a star of the now. Jeff Thadeus suggests that Helms has also held both world titles but given that his days as 6CW Champion were never ratified, it isn’t looked upon as a legitimate title reign. Something which Helms is less than pleased about.

*The two banged up stars go head to head and Helms has plenty to say for himself. He grabs Lex by the chin and shoves him away, laughing as he does so, before Lex lashes back with a big time chop to the chest. Helms looks to respond with a right hand but Lex ducks it and lets fly with three more chops, leaving red welts on Helms’ skin. He grabs Helms’ arm and looks for an Irish whip but Helms is able to reverse it with ease. Hart comes back and Helms throws him up into a big backbody drop. Hart staggers to his feet and eats a vicious lariat for a two count.

*Helms climbs ontop of Hart and drives down with heavy punches before standing back up and he drops an elbow to the chest and covers for another two. He drags Hart onto his knees and clubs at his back and neck before pointing to the ropes. He runs against them and looks for the “Blade of the Ruined King” knee strike to the back of the head but Hart ducks out of the way at the last second. They scramble back up and Lex takes Helms down by the arm and applies a crossface as the crowd go wild.

*Lex locks his hands across the damaged nose of Marty Helms and really pulls back on his head for extreme pressure but Helms refuses to give up. The world champion tries to drag himself toward the ropes but cannot get anywhere near them. Hart’s face is a picture as he continues to tug back on the head, tearing at the neck and shoulder muscles. Helms is in the hold for nearly two minutes before he is able to throw his body to the side and he pins Hart to the mat for a two count, forcing Hart to release the submission so he can kickout.

*Blood is running from Helms’ nose as he tries to stand up. Hart makes a beeline for him but eats a massive kick to the stomach and is then chucked from the ring, sending him clattering to the hard floor below. Helms takes a few moments to compose himself and then follows. He drags Lex up and batters his face against the steel steps before attempting to suplex him on the floor. Lex kicks his legs and fights before reversing into a suplex of his own, causing Helms to yell out in pain. Hart drags Helms up and chucks him inside the ring. Lex then scales the ropes and he waits for Helms to rise before leaping into him with an elbow to the top of the skull. He covers but Helms kicks out on two.

*Lex thinks over his options and then he runs the ropes for the Canadian Destroyer but it is countered into a Samoan drop. Helms stumbles back up and, surprisingly, heads for the corner. He reaches the top but Lex is already up and lands a right hand. Lex climbs the turnbuckle for a superplex but Helms fights out with heavy punches and then a huge headbutt that sends Lex flying to the canvass below. Helms follows up with a diving headbutt to the chest before covering but Lex kicks out before the three

*Helms pinches his nose to stem the bleeding as he yells at Hart to get up. He grabs him and flips him for the “Infinity Edge” (Project Ciampa) but Lex drops out front and nails a dropkick against the turnbuckle. Hart gets back up and chases in but eats a big time kick to the face, which staggers back him. Hart drops to one knee and Helms runs at him for the “Bloodthirster” punt kick but Hart catches his leg and takes him down, applying a sharpshooter in the centre of the ring.

*The commentators are talking about how much damage Helms’ body has taken in the last week as Hart really sits into the submission. Helms is yelling in pain and trying to get to the ropes but he cannot make it. He reaches out time and again but is just too far away. Lex’s face is a picture of determination as he continues to lean back into the submission that was perfected by his family members. Helms looks as though he may be considering giving it up but eventually he manages to grab the ropes and the referee forces Hart to relinquish.

*Hart looks surprised as he stomps down on Helms’ back, trying to soften him up. He waits for Helms to rise now and pulls him around for a “jackhammer” but Helms floats over the back and he shoves Hart into the turnbuckle, chest-first, before detonating a huge forearm smash into the back of his neck. Helms then charges off the ropes and returns with a huge boot (ala Test) as Hart tries to get back up. The three count looks imminent but Hart somehow kicks out.

*Helms is angry now and he heads to the corner, sizing his opponent up. He rushes out for a spear but Hart drop toe holds him again and looks for the sharpshooter. Helms uses both legs to kick out and he sends Hart back into the corner. Helms gets up and sprints in but Hart sidesteps and sends his opponent crashing against the turnbuckle before spinning him into a sambo suplex.

*Lex works the crowd and then he wows them by landing the “Triple Bypass” of moonsaults, finishing off with the BME from the top rope. He is about to scramble for the cover when the VIPTron begins to play a video.

*What we watch is a really bizarre scene of Robin Reborn hosting his own "show" and he has an actor playing Luke Hart. Reborn is mocking him and running down his career whilst "Luke" begins to cry and wishes he could be half as good as Reborn ever could. Reborn slaps him and says he can never be this good. "Luke" nods and apologises, saying he deserves to be slapped as Reborn strikes him again and the scene ends.

*Lex is stunned by what he has just watched, completely bemused, and the distraction allows Helms to crawl to the opposite corner and then he runs out and crushes Hart with a huge spear as he turns around, taking all the wind out of him. Helms is spitting from the mouth as he rags Hart up and destroys him with the “Infinity Edge” lungblower….

JT: Marty Helms capitalising big time off of whatever the hell that was that we just watched….

RJ: Welcome to the bizzaro world of Robin Reborn….

JT: And now the 6WF Champion has it lined up….Lex on his knees….BLADE OF THE RUINED KING!

The flying knee to the back of Hart’s head lands and leaves him slumped. Helms pushes him over onto his back and covers…

1.
..
...2
..
..
……...3!

RJ: Just like that….dominant showing from our 6WF Champion….despite the injuries he is carrying…

JT: Mark of a champion….less than 100% but still good enough to get the job done….like him or not, Marty Helms is the real deal…

RJ: Yes he is….one of the most dominant forces we have ever had in 6CWF...this guy likes to hurt people and he doesn’t mind putting his body on the line to do it…..most people wouldn’t have even entertained competing tonight after last week but Helms wanted to come out here and show what he’s all about…

JT: And now he wants a mic…

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 8:57 am

“Remedy” is playing out but Helms is yelling at production to cut the music as he demands a microphone. Lex Hart is still on the floor, clutching his head, as the referee checks on him…

Helms: Someone get this piece of (beep) out of my ring…

*Boos from the audience but Helms doesn’t care

Helms: Tyler Roth….listen you sonofab1tch...I know you’re back there, listening, so hear me now…..the management say we can’t lay a finger on one another until further notice...they’re scared of what we might do to one another….but deep down we both know that these corporate pieces of (beep) just want to make as much money as they can…

So let’s give ‘em what they want….what we both want…..

*Helms has the 6WF Championship in his hands and he holds it in the air

Helms: I am the 6WF Champion and standing here as such has been a long time coming, believe me….but I got more respect and more people backing me when I didn’t have this belt, like all of a sudden I don’t deserve it?

*Helms looks out at the fans with bewilderment

Helms: Well (beep) each and every one of you….I’m the champion because I made it happen, no handouts, no help….it is all down to me and what I do every time I step in the ring...because I’m the (beeping) best and sooner or later that will be acknowledged…

When Cerberus wanted to kill me, rip me limb from limb….did I run? Did I (beep)…..I crushed the monster’s skull and I lit his a55 on fire…I slayed the beast….

When Dicey Reilly (crowd pop) wanted to go to war with yours truly...did I wave the white flag? Wrong (beeping) answer….I beat his a55 too….I beat him so bad that he retired...I stained this canvass with the blood of your hero and made it so he never wanted to come back and face me again…

*The crowd are booing heavily now at the mention of Helms beating Dicey

Helms: So now you expect me to run away and hide because The Reaper wants my soul? Don’t make me laugh….I already beat Tyler Roth, one, two, three….I pinned him and became the 6WF Champion…..but I see now that that wasn’t enough….perhaps I did take my eye off the ball for a moment to celebrate my title win, perhaps I showed a little too much mercy…

But let me be clear….what happened to Cerberus….what happened to Dicey Reilly…..that is child’s play compared to what happens next…

Tyler Roth….they can keep us apart for now but hear me when I tell you that at Against The Wall….you want a title shot? You’ve got a (beeping) title shot…

*Crowd pop at this

Helms: The Last Outlaw fears no man….fears no living being on the planet….and I will prove it once again when I beat you, no, when I destroy you live in Manchester on July 22nd…

You asked for this, Tyler, and because I am a fighting champion I have granted you this honour….but make no mistake, the end is is nigh for you…

So think about this long and hard….because if you agree then this is how it goes….Marty Helms….Tyler Roth….Against The Wall….6WF Championship on the line…….LAST MAN STANDING!

*Crowd go wild at this

RJ: Oh my…

JT: One of the most brutal match types imaginable for one of the most brutal feuds we have ever seen…

RJ: Will the Board allow it? Can you imagine the chaos involved?

*Helms stares down the barrel of the camera before throwing the mic aside and shouldering his 6WF Championship once more.

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 9:00 am

A heartbeat monitor appears on the videoscreen getting faster and faster before suddenly flatlining

5.....
4....
3...
2..
1.

The scene opens to a dark dimly lighted hospital with wallpaper been torn away as it's fallen into disrepair as the camera pans into the room of the Blonde Lady who appears to be slowly coming out of a coma as a doctor walks into her room

???: Where am i? How did you find me?

Her heartbeat gets faster as she gets agitated

Doctor: Calm yourself down, The last thing we need is for you to get stressed you have a fracture on your skull.

???: ANSWER ME!!

Doctor: You're safe and secure in a hospital. What is the last thing you remember?

???: I was walking home from a Wrestling PPV called From The Ashes then suddenly everything went black and when i came around i was hanging upside gagged until this random guy turned up.

Doctor: Random guy?

???: Yeah he started talking about how deceitful liars and people spreading half-truths were going to pay then everything went black again

Doctor: What did he look like?

???: i...i can't remember

Doctor starts acting agitated

Doctor: YOU NEED TO REMEMBER

???: I can't...i really can't

The doctor starts to laugh and slowly pulls down the mask revealing his scar ridden face as the Blonde lady starts to struggle and scream but is tied down like a mental patient as the heartbeat monitor starts beating as fast as it can.

Doctor: Do you remember now...?

He grabs her by the chin and stares deep into eyes

Doctor:
Did you really think this was over? We're only just beginning.
This ends when i get what i want.
And what i want is to purge the world of people like you.
And one by one i will drag them down off their perch and inflict pain that will scar them for the rest of their days.
Her eyes widen as she starts to struggle to breathe as panic sets in

Doctor:
So now it's time for people like you to get what you actually deserve
You deserve to suffer like i did
You deserve to feel the pain i felt
You deserve to feel what it's like being so close to death that your entire body gives up on you.
I want your soul to dance with the devil and get burnt til it rots to the core.

The doctor pulls out a sedative injection and places it in the line keeping the Blonde Lady medicated and slowly pushes it into her IV Line

???: Please....don't..do..this...

Doctor:
Welcome to your new worst nightmare.
A never ending futile existence.
An endless resurrecting repeating horror story.
Over and over until you physically and mentally are beyond broken.
And then you'll see the world how i do and you'll truly understand why everyone needs to suffer.

The screen goes black as the heartbeat monitor settles down to a steady level as the doctor wanders off humming "Oranges and Lemons"

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Diablo, Christy, JJ Johnson and Alex Walker are sat in the Boardroom watching Marty Helms’ speech. Diablo turns to JJ and asks what he wants to do. JJ thinks for a moment and then says “book it”. There are a few raised eyebrows but Diablo nods his head. Marty Helms versus Tyler Roth for the 6WF World Heavyweight Championship at Against The Wall, Last Man Standing is official…

*Cassidy is irate at losing to Scott Harris. He is extremely abrupt with Clarissa and says he promises vengeance. Rex Adamson walks by and he laughs at Cassidy, basking in his defeat, before walking away. Cassidy looks even more angry now.

*O’Callaghan is interviewed by Jack Reynolds. OC says tonight is the night. He respects Rex’s rookie ability and says he was once that rookie making a name for himself. But now he’s the best of the absolute best and slip ups and mistakes are a thing of the past. OC says tonight is red panty night and the celebrations will be wild when he books his spot in the semi finals of the “Road to Royalty”.

*Kristal is shown leaving Gazzy’s dressing room as Christy enters. She looks upset and wants to talk with Gazzy. It seems Gazzy is softening as he tells her that Kristal is just a friend but she’s taken over as his manager to he can get his career back on track. Christy says she wants to help Gazzy get back on track. Wants their marriage back on track.

Gazzy says he knows she has been going for dinner with Uryu but she assures him they are just friends like he and Kristal. Christy wants this to work and holds Gazzy’s hands in hers, tears sparkling in her eyes.

Gazzy says he wants this to work but they need to keep work and private separate…..Gazzy wants Kristal to continue as his manager because she believes he can become “King” of 6CWF….he then touches Christy’s cheek and says he wants her to be his queen again. She cries now and hugs her husband. She wishes him luck tonight and then leaves. Kristal is returning now. She tells Christy that Gazzy is a real party animal and can go all night. Christy looks saddened by this now and hurt that Gazzy didn’t talk to her about it. She hurries off as Kristal smiles

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Bout 5
Road to Royalty
O’Callaghan vs Rex Adamson

*We start off with a graphic of both Johnny Oko and Scott Harris as semi-finalists in the “Road to Royalty” tournament. All eyes now are back on ringside as “Renegades of Funk” plays out and here comes Rex Adamson. The majority of the crowd are booing but Rex does have some supporters here in Glasgow. He raises his arms as pyros go off behind him and then makes his way across the ramp. Jeff Thadeus is talking up Rex’s start to life in 6CWF, going 4-0 against former world champions and as of yet he hasn’t tasted pinfall or submission defeat. RJ tells us that Rex is aiming to become the quickest world champion in history but he find out last week that there are plenty of hungry competitors on this roster so it won’t be an easy task. JT reminds us that Max Adamson never won “Road to Royalty” despite an illustrious career so this is a chance for Rex to get one up on his Uncle.

*Huge ovation greets O’Callaghan and he arrives amidst a wave of pyrotechnics and the fans singing along to his theme music. He looks hyped as he marches across the ramp and then climbs onto the ropes. He stares down at Rex and laughs before posing in front of the cameras. O’Callaghan is looking to go one step further in his career and become the world champion that many assumed he would have been by now. OC was the “Fight for the Right” winner but came up short when he attempted to dethrone Anthony Grace in 2018. OC is seen as one of the best technical wrestlers in the game and the commentators are hyped to see his skills up against the amateur standout in Rex Adamson.

*OC removes his fur coat and he smirks over at Rex, who is glaring back at him, before the referee has final words with both competitors. There is a big fight feel in the air as the bell rings to get the action underway.

*There is a slow feeling out process as both men look to gain some traction. They work into a lockup and Rex quickly slides to the back and wraps his arms around the waist of his opponent. He tries to lift OC but he fights to keep on his feet and then reaches behind and pulls Rex over his hip, taking him to the mat and attempting a seated chinlock. Rex quickly scrambles onto his front, into the guard of O’Callaghan, and drives down with forearms to the face before OC kicks him away.

*They scramble back up and OC aims a forearm at the head of his opponent but Rex ducks and immediately attempts to apply a full nelson (Masterlock). He has OC in trouble but then the Irishman pulls to the floor, underneath the legs, and ends up dropping Rex on top of him and tries to synch in a coquina clutch from nowhere. Rex fights it with big side elbows and manages to break free again.

*The crowd are applauding the technical skills of both men as they tie up again in the centre of the ring. This time OC ducks his head down and grabs the left leg of Rex. Adamson hops on the spot but doesn’t commit as O’Callaghan swipes his standing leg. He quickly twists Adamson on his stomach and tries to apply an anklelock now but Rex is able to throw all of his bodyweight forward into a roll that sends OC staggering against the ropes. Rex grabs OC’s trunks and pulls him into a rollup for a two count.

*Back up again and Rex throws himself into a roll and looks to explode with a dropkick but OC catches his legs and slams him down to mat before turning him over into a version of the “edgecator”. He has Rex’s back bent at an abnormal angle and the Australian is yelling out in pain as O’Callaghan tries to bend him into submission. Rex is in the hold for well over a minute but manages to fight the pain and drag himself to the ropes for a break. O’Callaghan releases and Rex rolls under the bottom rope for a moment.

*The commentators are talking about how Rex’s skills were unmatched in the amateur ranks but he may have met his match here tonight in the “Golden One” O’Callaghan. OC mockingly holds the ropes open for Rex as he clambers back up inside. They circle for another lockup but this time Rex reacts quicker with a boot to the gut and a big European uppercut. He whips OC off the ropes and then pops him up on the comeback before letting him fall through the air and down onto his chest in a heap. Rex immediately clambers onto the back of O’Callaghan and pulls his arms into place for a camel clutch. OC’s shouts of pain fill the air as Rex yanks back on his head and really extends the pressure in the back. The hold is locked in tight but OC somehow manages to shift his body so that he comes underneath Rex and uses his legs to pull him down to the mat. O’Callaghan, despite the pain, then twists out and ends up with a liontamer locked in. Rex is able to turn his body out and ends up on his back before dragging OC down into an inside cradle for a two.

*Jeff Thadeus can’t remember a more even technical masterpiece in a long time. Both men get up and OC grabs at Rex but is shoved away. Rex then explodes with a lariat but OC catches his arm and takes him down before applying a perfect “Lebell lock” in the centre of the ring. He is really wrenching back on Rex’s head whilst tearing at the shoulder mucles. Adamson is in agony and he contemplates giving up several times but is able to turn his body so he can hook the bottom rope with his boot, forcing another break.

*Rex staggers against the ropes and takes a breather but OC isn’t resting. He bounces off the opposite side and returns with a 619 but Adamson is waiting for him and catches his legs before launching him off the ropes and catches him with a snap powerbomb. Rex quickly spins OC over onto his front and applies an STF as the crowd are on their feet again. The commentators are waxing lyrical about what we are witnessing here between two young upstarts. OC is clearly struggling under the pressure being applied and he seems to fade out of consciousness. The referee checks his arm but he answers on two and then somehow is able to drag himself to the ropes.

*Rex backs up in the corner, breathing deep, and he motions for OC to stand up before he charges across for the “Gore”, only to be taken down by a drop toe hold. OC tries to apply the figure four leglock but Rex kicks him away. OC runs back in but is tilt-a-whirled out onto his feet and then launches into a huge release German suplex. He stumbles up again and Rex plants him with a huge belly to belly slam (ala Ken Shamrock) for a two count.

*OC gets up and Rex lights him up with brutal chops (ala WALTER) which have the crowd wincing. OC’s chest is reddened and he hunches over as Rex whips him off the ropes and looks to press him up but OC reacts in midair with a snap knee to the side of the head. Rex is off balance as OC grabs him and nails a snap dragon suplex. Rex rolls over onto his knees as O’Callaghan grabs his arms and pulls him into a brutal knee to face (Young Bucks Style)…..Rex flops onto his back as O’Callaghan heads for the corner. The Irishman launches off and lands a frogsplash but Rex kicks out.

*The noise levels are huge in the arena as the commentators talk up a potential match of the year candidate. OC stalks Rex’s every move and then attempts to put him in a coquina clutch and lift him into a slam but Rex stands firm and then rushes backwards, squashing his opponent in the corner. Rex staggers toward centre, looking to regain some composure, as OC runs out toward him but eats a huge lariat to the throat. Rex then summons strength to bench OC over his head and he drops him into a sickening spinebuster/spear (ala Goldberg) but his opponent kicks out again.

*Rex stands over his opponent and he lowers the straps on his singlet before grabbing OC’s leg and he pulls him up into a devastating “Stretch muffler” submission. O’Callaghan’s whole body is bent around the shoulders of Rex, twisting him out of shape, and he yells in pain. Rex is really ramping up the pressure but it is clear he is struggling with the pace of the match. OC amazingly shows core strength to sit himself up and he pulls himself onto the shoulders of Rex, much to the crowd’s amazement. OC is now in an electric chair position as Rex drops him out and catches him into a German suplex (Croyt’s Wrath) for a two count.

*Rex spits in frustration as he beckons OC back up and he scoops him on his shoulders for the “Fire/Thunder Driver” but O’Callaghan kicks his legs and drops off back before landing a discus forearm to the spine which sends Rex staggering across the ropes. OC then nails the 619 and he throws his arms in the air before springboarding back in with a 360 splash that lands but only gets a two count.

*A “this is awesome” chant rings all around as OC heads for the corner again and he scores with a flying elbow to the chest. He then listens to the roar of the crowd before grabbing the legs of Rex and he tries to turn him over into the sharpshooter. Rex is squirming and fighting before he manages to boot the knees of OC out, taking him down with him. Rex then spins his body and grabs O’Callaghan’s arm before applying a brutal “Regal stretch”. O’Callaghan is once again at the mercy of his opponent and looks in real danger of losing the match but once more he shifts his body, unbalancing Rex, and manages to pull Rex on top of him so he can apply a grounded cobra clutch.

*Rex is thrashing from side to side as O’Callaghan tries to hold on and tighten his grip around the windpipe. They continue to fight it out on the mat until Adamson is able to throw his head back and catches OC in the face. He pulls clear and staggers back up as O’Callaghan does the same. Rex pumps forward and lands a kick to OC’s gut before trying to scoop him up but O’Callaghan elbows his way free. O’Callaghn waits for Rex to turn around and pulls his legs out from under him and tries for the sharpshooter but Rex scrambles for the ropes before it can be applied.

*The commentators talk about how close we must be to the time limit and the competitors will have to throw caution to the wind. The audience are applauding as both men stand and talk a little trash. They meet head on and trade shots until OC rakes the eyes of Rex and laughs at his handiwork. He then grabs Rex’s arm and whips him toward the turnbuckle but Adamson is still to strong and reverses. OC hits the corner, chest first, and staggers out as Rex looks for a back suplex. O’Callaghan back flips over Rex’s shoulder and synches in a coquina clutch but Rex drops to one knee and launches OC over his shoulder. They both rush up and sprint forward, Rex looks for the “Gore” as OC leaps in for a knee and there is an almighty collision in mid-flight. Both men are down in a heap.

JT: That was like a goddamn car wreck….

RJ: I think Rex landed the spear around the midsection but O’Callaghan’s knees caught him somewhere around the neck and head….both men have given so much….I’m not sure how much is left…

JT: Or how long….wait just a minute here….

RJ: He didn’t take kindly to Rex’s mocking statements earlier…

The crowd are booing as Cassidy swaggers down the ramp, holding his branding iron, and he climbs through the ropes. The referee tries to intervene but Cassidy chases him off. He is glaring at Rex with real dislike as both competitors are trying to get back up…

JT: What is he…..OH DEAR!

RJ: He knew what he was doing…

Cassidy is primed to strike Rex when he suddenly turns and lashes the iron into the gut of O’Callaghan, doubling him up in agony. The referee has no choice but to ring for the bell…

JT: What is he thinking?

RJ: He just cost Rex….that’s his thinking…..Cassidy did not like Adamson’s mocking his loss earlier and he has come for retribution….he knew attacking Rex would cost O’Callaghan so he nailed OC instead…..Rex Adamson’s dreams of becoming “King” of 6CWF have just been vanquished by Cassidy….

JT: But why? That is a very brave move indeed…

RJ: Brave or stupid….Cassidy and Rex clashed a little last week on Proving Grounds when Cassidy outsmarted Rex to pick up a win….Rex was annoyed about that so chose to bask in Cassidy’s defeat to Scott Harris earlier tonight….Cassidy has clearly dwelt on that and decided to pay Rex back….I don’t think El Austrailiano is going to take that lying down…

JT: Not after he and O’Callaghan put on an absolute clinic here tonight….that was truly sensational….some of the best mat wrestling I have ever seen….and it has all been ruined by this sadistic man standing before us…

RJ: Cassidy is fast showing he is a force to be reckoned with and someone you shouldn’t underestimate….

JT: He may want to be fast now because Rex is getting up…

Rex is on his knees as he comes to realise what has happened. He stares at Cassidy, who grins, and then begins to rage. Cassidy has already stepped from the ring and is backing up the ramp as Rex stands up and we see him mouth “mother(beeper)” before he leaps from the ring and begins to chase Cassidy….

RJ: Cassidy better hope that this match has taken a lot out of Rex and he can’t catch him….otherwise I don’t like his chances…

JT: But also is it wise for Rex, in his condition, to be running blindly after someone so delinquent and dangerous…..this one has serious legs to it…

RJ: And what about O’Callaghan? The Irishman may not know it yet but he’s in the semi finals….he’s one step closer to becoming “King” of 6CWF….

JT: It was an amazing match with a very disappointing ending….OC was pushed to breaking point by Rex Adamson…

RJ: And that shot with the branding iron may have broke a rib or two…

O’Callaghan has staggered up and he looks shocked as the referee raises his hand in victory. He is holding his body and we seem a deep red welt from where he was attacked. He manages to regain a little of his arrogance as he points to himself and talks to the camera…

OC: Nothing can keep down the king, baby….ya hear me…this is why they brought me back..cash money, pay per view sales….crack the bottles… none of these fools stand a chance against me...give me my fookin crowd…

JT: Nice to see that despite everything he has been through tonight, OC’s humility remains intact…

RJ: These fans still eat it up though….I think many in the 6CWF fanbase would be happy to see this man crowned at the end of this tournament…

JT: And it may very well happen yet….OC is moving on to the semi-finals to join Scott Harris and Johnny Oko….only one more spot remains…..GazzyD or Mike Hill….who will complete the lineup?

*JJ is on the phone to Trevor Abrahams. Wants the Robin Reborn situation explained again. JJ says he knows there is a compete clause in the contract if Reborn wants to keep using the 6CWF brand name. Tells Abrahams to make sure Reborn turns up next week so they can talk face to face.

*Liam Wood is being interviewed by Clarissa. Wood says winning the European Championship is a goal of his, he’s never achieved it, but he wants an answer from Reilly and Callihan about “Against The Wall”. Suddenly they appear and mock Wood….they are accepting his challenge for 2 on 1 at the event. Wood looks ready to fight now when he is attacked from behind. He tries to get up but the masked figure stomps all over. He is dragged up and his head is smashed through a TV monitor. Wood is bleeding as he slumps, seated against the wall. His attacker then picks up a chair and smashes it against Wood’s head, crushing him against the wall. The masked man looks at Callihan and Reilly before backing away. Callihan has a triumphant grin on his face as the medics are called. It looks like Wood’s hopes of competing tonight are over.

*Rex Adamson storms into Diablo in the “Talent Relations” office. Rex is (beeped) off and demands Cassidy next week. Diablo tells him that JJ is working on something so hang tight. Rex says he isn’t waiting around for the “boss man”. Says he is taking the fight to Cassidy and that spells disaster for Cassidy.

*The commentators hype the two matches signed for Against the Wall as Eddy Kent and Uryu meet for the 6CW Championship whilst Marty Helms vs Tyler Roth II is also official for the 6WF Heavyweight Championship in a last man standing match.

*Uryu finds Christy and says he’s made a reservation for tonight. Christy tells Uryu she can’t make it and that her and Gazzy are trying to patch things up. Uryu says that’s great but is clearly hurting. Christy touches his arm and says Uryu is a great friend. He smiles and then she bids him farewell. Uryu is left looking a little crestfallen as Eddy Kent walks in. Kent mocks Uryu for being rejected and says that the clock is ticking on Uryu’s reign as champ….no title, no girl….Uryu will be worthless once more following “Against the Wall”.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 9:07 am

Jeff Thadeus is sitting in front of the camera in a pre recorded segment, with a modest background behind him. The only portion of colour comes from a 6CWF logo positioned just off centre. Thadeus shuffles some papers and then talks into the camera.

JT: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here with an exclusive interview with a new acquistion for 6CWF. Many of you will know the man I'm talking to so he needs no further introduction. My guest at this time, Antony "Amazing" Grace.

The camera pans to see Grace awkwardly sitting next to Thadeus and looking far less than amazing. His hair is sleeked back and it is clear from his forehead that he has had some cosmetic work done. He has dark glasses on and an open topped shirt, with an abundance of silver rings on his fingers. He tries to sit there with an air of coolness, but isn't carrying it off. Thadeus waits for some sort of reply, and when none comes, he quickly moves on.

JT: Antony, its been a while since you have been around 6CWF, and a lot has gone on in that time. I'd like to start however with a quote from a source inside this organisation. "Antony Grace is a ticking time bomb that has exploded and reset itself too many times already. By given him a platform to fail spectacularly as he has done already in the last 6 months, 6CWF might be attracting short term viewers eager to see the freak show that is Grace's life. But long term, he will alinate both fans and fighters alike who see through his inclusion as simply a way for him to stay relevant in a world that is already tired of his escapades".

Grace smirks and rubs his nose. He looks around him, perhaps looking for help off camera, before turning back to Thadeus.

AG: That's a hell of a quote to start with. I'm not going into what some unseen individual feels about me. That person can join the trolls online. 6CW has asked for me to return. It's no big thing and I'm not expecting a parade or even a decent backdrop. I mean you say exclusive but I read that I was going to have this conversation with you this morning in the dirtsheets.

Grace shrugs.

AG: If people don't like me then they can join a very long queue....

Thadeus looks a bit awkward and tries to sell Grace's hiring more.

JT: Your arrival is intriguing however considering the last few years of headlines, some of which have had nothing to do with wrestling.

Grace takes a sip of water.

AG: Yeah, and I'm sure you are going to tell me about it....

JT: Well.....you had a very publicised and expensive divorce with your ex wife and your daughters have stated they want nothing to do with you after your multiple affairs. The carefully crafted image you had in Hollywood is, to quote TMZ, "lying as rubble at the feet of coke craving megalomaniac". Your last movie, wrote by yourself, was panned by being demeaning to women and disrespectful to a range of minorities. You lost a reported $2 million dollars on it as well as the respect of a global fan base......

Grace talks over Thadeus and waves a dismissive hand.

AG: Jeff you are a wrestling commentator, so don't freakin' use me to broaden your career. Stick to the script.

JT: But you can't argue that these parts of your life could impact your role here and....

AG: Of course I will argue, you're speaking some rehersed lines that I've heard and disproved constantly. If you want to state the same old lies.....

The atmosphere becomes more heated as the two men talk over each other.

JT: So you didn't lose $2 million dollars.....

AG: I lost some money yes.

JT: ....and your family haven't disowned you?

AG: My personal life is no-one's business.

JT:....and you don't have a well documented drug habit?

Grace holds his hands together and sits forward in his chair.

AG: Look Jeff, you can Piers Morgan this interview all you want but you will end up talking to an empty chair.

Thadeus takes the hint and looks down at his papers.

JT: Let's talk about wrestling then...

Grace takes another sip of water.

AG: Please do.

JT: Why did you recently no show a Legends event, where you were the much lauded headline act?

Grace carefully puts the water down.

AG: That was unfortunate and I have already apologised. I had injured myself working out the day of the show and I didn't want to compete until I was 100% healthy.

JT: The promoters of that event are suing you for loss of earnings and have branded you unprofessional, immoral and totally unsuitable for the wrestling business or public life."

Grace smirks.

AG: I would argue against all of that apart from immoral.

JT: You find the situation humourous?

Grace shrugs.

AG: I find the situation not worth my time. My doctors can show I was told not to compete, which makes this lawsuit irrelevant. If they have other opinions then they can air them. But don't expect me to acknowledge them.

Thadeus shakes his head.

JT: But you do acknowledge a theme here? One of attitude problems, substance abuse and lack of ability in the ring.

Grace takes another sip of water and looks clearly irritated.

AG: I haven't heard anyone questioning my ability in the ring.

JT: There were some crowd videos circulating a few months back of you struggling in a match on the indie circuit.

AG: Purely ring rust Jeff. As you have already mentioned, I've had a few things going on in my life which meant I couldn't give my wrestling career my full attention. Now I'm ready for this opportunity 6CF have given me.

Thadeus looks confused and a little annoyed but stays on track.

JT: So what exactly is this opportunity? What do you have to say to the rest of the 6CWF roster?

Grace lights a cigarette and sits back in his chair.

AG: Quite simple really. The place needs a star and now they have one. Uryu Ishida isn't going to last long as champion. JJ Johnson and Clarke James seem to be racking up legal fees. Then you have Helms, Roth, Wood, Reborn, Kent, Steel.....I mean the roster isn't brimming with top line acts. I'm a certainty when it comes to putting bums on seats whether you like me or not. VIP Promotions understands that and that's why they have hired me.

Thadeus nods.

JT: And how much of that involved the rest of the board? I personally find it peculiar, and I'm sure the fans will, that VIP Promotions have been quick to stamp down on infringements of contracts and other misdemeanours. But now they have hired someone that could make these things look insignificant in comparison.

Grace smiles and continues to smoke on his cigarette.

AG: Careful Jeff....don't let your dislike for me cloud your judgement.

JT: But you can see the double standards?

Grace puts out the cigarette and rubs his nose again.

AG: Look, that question is for Abrahams and the other flunkies. I have a contract which I signed. I'm due to have my first match very soon and then I will start on my quest for gold. If I have to prove people wrong then I will do so. If those same people continue talking about me, then it's good for 6CW, 6WF or whatever this place is called. Publicity brings business. Business brings money. I'm not asking you to be thankful but a little respect for the guy you are talking to would be appreciated. If not....stop wasting my time.

Thadeus looks perturbed as Grace adjusts his glasses and lights another cigarette.

JT: One last question for you Anthony.....do you still class yourself as "amazing"?

Grace looks down at his cigarette and blows out smoke.

AG: Guess we will all find out soon enough.

Grace gets up out of his chair before Thadeus has a chance to finish the interview and walks out of shot. Thadeus looks disgusted as the shot fades.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 9:08 am

*Clarke James makes his way to ringside for the #1 Contenders match. He is removing his robe when “When I get down” roars out and the crowd go wild. Here is Acer and he is seriously (beeped) off. CJ looks stunned but quickly bursts forward as Acer gets in and now we have a fight on our hands. They brawl until CJ rakes the eyes and throws Acer from the ring. He drags him up and whips him but Acer reverses and sends James crashing into the steel steps.

Acer picks up the steps and smashes them into CJ’s head, leaving him slumped across one of the announce desk. Acer is up and he drags CJ to his feet before hitting a “downwards spiral” on the table but it doesn’t break. Acer drags CJ up and throws him into the ring. He looks for the rogue spear from the apron and nails it as the crowd are on their feet. Acer looks thunderous as he goes to the outside and gets a chair.

He readies to strike but CJ lands a low blow, sparking huge boos from the audience. CJ gets up and he grabs the chair before lashing it across Acer’s body several times. He beckons him up and readies for the “Faithless” but Acer elbows his way free and then he grabs the chair again…..CRACK!...it explodes over CJ’s head and cuts him. Acer wants to continue the fight as security storm the ring, followed by JJ Johnson and Alex Walker.

*Acer is doing everything he can to get at James but he is held back. There is a melee in the ring and JJ is in the middle. Acer has the chair now and he swings it over the crowd, looking for CJ, but hits JJ over the top of the head. JJ is stunned and staggered before turning on Acer and asking what the hell he is doing. Acer, though, is seeing red. CJ is escorted out onto the ramp but Acer is on the ropes and he dives off onto security and Clarke James. CJ is trying to get up and retreat as Acer climbs onto him and starts punching away. JJ is out now and he tackles Acer to the floor.

*CJ is rustling in his tights and he has the railroad spike. He wants to attack Acer with it but Alex Walker swipes it from his hands. CJ is a bloody mess as he stares at the scene in front of him. Acer is still trying to get to him but is being restrained.

The commentators debate on what has just happened and it seems likely that Clarke James is now out of the running for the European Championship. The commentators wonder what VIP Promotions and the 6CWF Board are going to do after what we just witnessed. Clarke James is standing in the entranceway now with a smirk on his face. Acer gets up but there is a wall of security on front of him. JJ rounds on Acer and is trying to calm him, Alex Walker looking concerned, as the scene ends.

*Marty Helms is interviewed by Jack Reynolds following the announcement about his match with Roth. Helms says Roth tried his best last week but his best just isn’t good enough to keep the champ down. Helms promises to be the last man standing...if it kills him doing so (you work it out)…..Scott Harris interrupts. Says that Roth will be taking that title at Against The Wall but if, by some miracle, Helms survives with his title...then his future is going to get “More Harris”.

*Backstage as a bloodied Clarke James is being escorted by security out of the building. JJ Johnson is there and he stops them so he can look at CJ. Tells him that he sealed his own fate but CJ retorts that nobody will be there to stop him at “Against The Wall”….per the no outside interference stipulation….he knows JJ loves to play the hero but he cannot save Acer from what is coming.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 9:09 am

Bout 6
#1 Contender (European Championship)
Cameron Faith vs Clarke James vs Cody Walker vs Eddy Kent vs Geoff Steel vs Liam Wood

*The whole arena is still reeling after the brawl between Clarke James and Acer. Jeff Thadeus is guessing that Clarke James is no longer in the running to become #1 Contender and talks about how the playing field is thinning rapidly. Liam Wood is still under medical supervision after the attack backstage whilst nobody knows about Eddy Kent’s status after being named # 1 Contender to the 6CW Championships.

*Cameron Faith is the first combatant out and his hometown crowd are on their feet for his arrival. He works the audience and can be heard asking “Who’s the next champ?” before nodding his head with a smile as they chant his name. He climbs onto the ropes as the commentary team talk up his chances and how a shot at the European Championship would represent a huge boost to his career. RJ reminds us that it would also reopen one of Faith’s most personal chapters of his career by pitting him against Mike Hill once more.

*The youngster Cody Walker then bounds out to big cheers. Walker is dressed in a fluorescent yellow and purple singlet. He takes off his bandana and ties it around the head of a young child at ringside before flipping up into the ring. He offers Cameron Faith a respectful handshake. The commentators talk about Walker’s unique style and the challenge that presents to anyone in the opposite corner. They also debate on Walker’s issues with Cassidy and wonder if the newcomers are destined to clash at some point.

*Here comes Geoff Steel now. Steel looks laser focused as the cheers ring all around for him. We heard Steel’s impassioned call out of Blue Dragon earlier but as of yet no response. The commentators wonder just how much Geoff Steel’s mind is on the job at hand here tonight with his pursuit of Dragon. Jeff Thadeus reminds us that Steel is still chasing an elusive victory and that tonight’s match signifies a huge opportunity but if Steel isn’t focused on the task at hand it’s hard to imagine him getting the job done.

*Faith, Steel and Walker are all staring at one another as Eddy Kent slowly walks out onto the stage, his music drowned out by boos from the audience. Kent stands there and raises his arms as the abuse continues to rain down in torrents. The commentators are surprised Kent is here but RJ says that given Kent’s ego, that more and more championship gold he can get hold of the more satisfied he is likely to be. Kent drops down off the walkway and he slowly walks around ringside. He indicates to the referee that he can start the match as he is starting off from out here.

*The bell sounds and Cameron Faith shakes his head before sprinting to the ropes and he suicide dives out before smashing into Kent and sends him staggering back into one of the announce desks as the crowd go wild. Faith gets back up, drinking in the atmosphere of the audience, before making his way back inside.

*Steel and Walker share a respectful slap of hands and then lockup. Steel is far too strong and he is able to launch the rookie back to the corner. He runs in but Walker rolls around the corner and kicks over the top, catching Steel in the face. Walker heads up to and nails a meteora takedown. He then charges the ropes and returns with rolling thunder as the crowd go wild. Walker follows up with a standing shooting star press. Steel rolls from the ring as Faith gets back in. Walker runs at him but Faith uses his momentum to tilt-a-whirl him into a backbreaker and then a swinging neckbreaker (Ghetto Blaster) for a two.

*Faith backs up in the corner and he ushers Walker up before looking for the superkick (Act of Faith) but Walker ducks last minute and nails a poisonrana, dumping Faith on the back of his neck. Faith rolls over onto his knees and Walker runs the ropes before returning with a flying v-trigger knee. He heads for the corner and leaps up top. The cheers ring all around as Walker turns and throws himself into the coffin drop (Highwind). He gets back up to make the count when Eddy Kent almost kicks his head off with a brogue kick (Genesis kick)

*The crowd are booing as Kent just stands there and smirks. He beckons the camera in and he says “That’s how easy it is. One kick and I’m the number one contender. But I’ve got bigger fish to fry….I’m shooting for the stars. When I land that kick on Uryu Ishida, you are looking at the next 6CW Champion…..deal with it”. The audience are stunned as Kent backs to the ropes and climbs out onto the apron instead of going for the pinfall. He struts across the rampway toward the entrance and then raises his arms up in the air. He stands and motions a belt around his waist when Uryu appears and superkicks him in the back of the head, drawing a massive response from the fans. Uryu drags a dazed Kent up and he stares at him before nailing a “Spanish Fly” on the solid steel entranceway. He looks around at the crowd, who are chanting his name, and then he points up at the platform above the entranceway. The commentators are talking about the devastation we saw from up there last week but Ishida is already scaling. He finds himself over ten feet above the entrance before throwing himself into the “Split Second” that thunders down on top of Kent. RJ says Uryu is paying Kent back for two weeks’ worth of attacks as they hype what promises to be one hell of a championship match at Against The Wall.

*Geoff Steel has rolled back in the ring and he watches as Faith and Walker slowly start to get up. Faith is the first to rise as Steel crashes into him with a spear and hooks the legs but Faith kicks out on the count of two. Steel gets up and he beckons Faith to his feet before scooping him up. He runs him out for a powerslam but Faith kicks off and lands on his feet. Steel turns and Faith looks for the superkick (Act of Faith) but Steel catches his foot and kicks out his other leg. “Steelworks” is applied centre ring and Faith is in all sorts of trouble. The submission looks imminent as Cody Walker detonates a springboard knee strike into Steel’s face, breaking the hold.

*Steel rolls from the ring and rests against the ringside barrier, holding his jaw, as Walker climbs out onto the apron. He works the audience and then spins off into a legdrop (ala RVD) that crashes Steel down on the barrier and leaves him in a heap. Walker hobbles back up and he climbs onto the apron and goes high. He waits for Faith to start standing up and leaps through the air for the flying fame-ass-er (Howling Moon) but Faith dodges and sends him crashing into the canvass. Walker is sitting on the mat as Faith punt kicks him in the face and then goes to the corner himself. Flashbulbs go off as the double rotation moonsault “Leap of faith” lands. Faith hooks the leg and the three is academic until Steel pulls him from the ring and launches him over the barrier and into the crowd, knocking down a couple of fans.

*Steel raises a hand, apologetically, and then slides back in. Walker is slowly reaching his feet as Steel pushes him back into the ropes and then pops him up into a snapping powerbomb on the canvass. He thinks over his next move and then heads for the corner. He lands a huge flying headbutt to the chest, driving all the wind from Walker, and then rises. He gives a signal to the audience and then positions the rookie for the “Bladecutter” piledriver.

*The crowd are roaring as Blue Dragon rises from the melee in the crowd and climbs over the barricade. He has his “Gauntlet” glove on again and is laughing as he waits for Steel to turn around and then he crashes another huge punch into his face. Dragon is all over Steel with stomps, brutality flowing from every kick, before he rags him up and launches him through the ropes and into the ringpost. Steel’s head hits hard and then he falls to the outside. Dragon follows and he can be heard telling Steel “You were never my target, Geoff….you weren’t even on my radar...but you had to keeping talking and pushing, and rubbing me up the wrong way….a man like me, I can’t afford to let that kind of talk go unpunished….I can’t be seen to let things like that slide…..so now, now you’re going to have to pay….now you are going to have to see that there are consequences for your actions”…..The crowd watch on as BD shows immense power to scoop Steel off the floor in a gutwrench and then ploughs him through one of the announce desks with the “Deathnote” powerbomb. Dragon just stands there and stares down at the broken form of Geoff Steel. “It’s over now, Geoff….this, this is where it ends….do not give me a reason to make this worse”. Security can be seen rushing to ringside as Dragon steps back over the barricade into the crowd. The ringside doctor is checking on Steel as the commentators are stunned by what just transpired. We were supposed to have a six pack challenge tonight and somehow we are down to just two.

*Cameron Faith is back up on the ropes and he is preparing for a flying elbow drop when Walker runs to the ropes and he springs off the middle and wraps his legs around Faith’s shoulders before pulling him off into a rana clutch facebuster from on high. Walker is contemplating his next move and he spins from the corner for the “Masamune” (trouble in paradise kick) but Faith ducks. Faith looks for a back suplex but Walker flips out and attempts the “Ultima Weapon” (one winged angel) but Faith rolls down the front into a pinning combo for two. They scramble back up and Walker runs at Faith but he sidesteps and launches him over the ropes. Walker shows amazing athleticism to flip onto his feet on the apron but then turns and eats a superkick (Act of Faith) that sends him flying to the outside.

*The commentators are talking about how Faith may be the only man standing but there are no DQ and no count-outs under these rules so he needs to get someone back in the ring.

JT: OH MY…

RJ: I really don’t think this is wise, Geoff….

JT: How is he standing? His whole body must be wracked in agony…

RJ: Geoff Steel is as tough as they come…

JT: But he’s a brutal mess…

Steel has blood across the side of his face, from the punch he took, and he is extremely unsteady on his feet but he pushes the medics away from him and rolls back in the ring. He is really struggling but he staggers up onto one knee and then looks up as Cameron Faith is staring at him…

RJ: Steel wants no pity whatsoever….he wants no mercy….he’s yelling at Faith to get it done…

Steel is slapping his own face and chest, screaming at Faith to bring it on. Faith looks reluctant but Steel is adamant as he pushes himself up onto his feet. Faith can be heard uttering a curse as he shakes his head and steps forward…

JT: ACT OF FAITH….or in this case an act of mercy….

Faith lands the superkick flush on the jaw of the bloodied Steel and drops down to cover him………………..1………………...2……………...3!

RJ: Faith has done it…...he books himself in for a future shot at Mike Hill’s European Championship…...a very personal rivalry is about to get a whole new chapter…

JT: Which one?…..tonight we have seen this match interrupted by Acer and Clarke James fighting…..Liam Wood was taken out by Callihan’s crew…...then we had Uryu leaping from the stage onto Eddy Kent….Blue Dragon came out here and brutalised Geoff Steel…….every single one of those are going to have an upcoming chapter…

RJ: I was talking about Cameron Faith and Mike Hill, one of 6WF’s most personal feuds ever….but you make a great point because what was first advertised as a six pack challenge ended with the majority of the playing field being taken out by outside parties….this has been pure insanity from start to finish….

JT: But through it all…

RJ: You aren’t breaking into some Robbie are you?

JT: God no….but Cameron Faith was offered a little protection…..

RJ: And a lot of love and affection from his hometown crowd….

JT: But whether right or wrong….will his quest for European gold forsake him?

RJ: Please stop now…..this is embarrassing…..especially for the mug typing this, who is clearly having an off day….

JT: Agreed…..Cameron Faith and Mike Hill will dance once more, I’m sure Hill will be delighted to hear that…

RJ: We need to head straight backstage though folks for some major fallout from what we have just seen…

Cameron Faith is on the ropes being serenaded by his hometown supporters as he motions a belt around his waist.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 9:25 am

*We hit the backstage area and the commotion has continued. Geoff Steel is trying to get to Blue Dragon as security get in the way. Some of the guards get decked and now JJ Johnson is there. He is glaring at BD and telling him he has no contract with the company. BD is telling JJ it is all his fault. JJ says he knew nothing about Dragon's potential investment in the company but JJ doesn't want that kind of thing in 6CWF. Dragon accuses JJ of believing he is better.

JJ says that Dragon has always had a chip on his shoukder but he is offering him a lifeline. Tells BD to turn up next week and sign a contract to compete. Dragon is telling JJ that he is bringing chaos. JJ fires back that unless BD signs a contract to compete he won't be getting back in a 6CWF building. Dragon laughs and says "We shall see" before allowing security to lead him away.

JJ walks over to the bloodied Steel and tells him he will get chance to exact revenge.

*Mike Hill is interviewed. Hill says he is already the greatest Euro chammpion ever but he isn't satisfied. He has designs on winning Road to Royalty and becoming world champion once more. Cameron Faith turns up and he's looking at Hill and his title. Hill tells Faith that winning a shot at his title was a big mistake before walking off.

Kristal then appears and she is all over Faith and telling him how proud she is. Faith dismisses her and says his form has improved drastically since she left. Faith tells Kristal to leave Gazzy alone but she just laughs and says she is going to take Gazzy all the way to the top because Faith just doesnt measure up

*Christy is sitting with Gazzy and taping his hands. She wishes her husband luck tonight and kisses him. Gazzy looks pleased but then we get a shot of Uryu watching on a monitor. Ishida hurries off.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 9:50 am

*Jeff Thadeus and RJ are talking about the upcoming pay per view and hyping the announced matches. They also tell us that next week will broadcast from the AO Arena in Manchester and that we will see a "Mayhem in Manchester" match but offer no more details on that.

*Cody Walker is doing his warm down when Cassidy interrupts him. Cassidy is scathing and mocks Walker. They go nose to nose. Cassidy tells Walker that one day he will make him pay for having everything handed to him on a plate and he will be branded so everyone knows what he is. Cassidy hears a shout and Rex Adamson is coming toward him. Cassidy disappears. Rex wants to know where Cassidy went but Walker doesn't know. Rex tells Walker not to screw with him unless he wants some as well. Walker is not intimidated and tells Rex that he told him he doesn't know where Cassidy went. Rex snarls and storms off. Walker finishes his stretches and then stands up as Adamson runs back in and spears him out of his boots. Adamson is still irate as he hunts Cassidy once more

*We get a brief glimpse of JJ Johnson heading into Johnny Oko's dressing room. Oko's guards try to stop him but JJ glares at them and they think better of it. He sees Oko sitting at a table inside. JJ has a folder and he slams it down on the table. Oko slowly raises his head and JJ tells him he knows all about his rouse and trying to attain more of the company. JJ says he could buy Oko out but feels he would be turned down so he has an offer to make. JJ tells Oko that he doesn't appreciate anyone trying to undermine him

Oko wants more of the company so here is the deal....JJ will pick a time and a place then they can both put their stakes of the company on the line. Oko says he needs to think it over. Johnson nods but tells Oko to "think real hard". JJ gets up to leave and there is a brief moment where Oko's hand passes over his Katana but then stops. Johnson walks out.

*Alex Walker is on the phone. We hear him say "Yes I understand, thank you.....it's what I thought but wanted to make sure....yes I'll be in touch with my offer.

Eddy Kent walks in looking worse for wear after Uryu's attack. Walker assures that if Kent trusts him, he can deliver the world championship. He says "lord knows this company could do with a figurehead" and Kent nods in agreement.
*Acer's wife and children are shown in an unknown room in an unknown location. There is a knock on the door and a wreath has been sent. Acer's wife begins to cry as she reads the message inside...."RIP....your husband is a dead man walking".

*Gazzy is shown walking toward the Gorilla position with Kristal. Uryu is just heading out the door that leads to the roof. They stare at one another and then Gazzy glances at Uryu's championship before walking away, Kristal with a smug grin on her face.

Main Event
Road to Royalty
GazzyD vs Mike Hill

JT: So here we go ladies and gentlemen…..main event time…..last quarter final match of the Road to Royalty…..who is joining Johnny Oko, Scott Harris and O’Callaghan in the semi finals?

RJ: It’s been a wild night here at Proving Grounds….that is probably an understatement if I’m honest….and we still have more to come….the road to Against the Wall is getting rocky and treacherous….but now Mike Hill and GazzyD will do battle in order to move one step closer to being crowned “King” of 6CWF…

JT: And that huge world championship opportunity at Beachfront Brawl…

“Next big thing” crashes out and is met by boos from the audience. Mike Hill enters through the shroom of smoke that follows his pyrotechnics. He swaggers in front of the cameras and adjusts the European Championship around his waist…

RJ: Earlier tonight Mike Hill learned that he has a future date with an old foe in Cameron Faith for that European Championship...but for right this minute his focus is on this match and the “Road to Royalty” tournament…

JT: Mike Hill is a sure fire hall of famer...he has won so many accolades in his career that it’s hard to keep track….two time world champion, current European champ, multi time tag title reigns in 6CW and 6WF….Hardcore Champion….but he has never been “King”….and you just know he would wear that moniker with an added arrogance…

RJ: Can he get more arrogant? Mike Hill is a standout of the last generation of pro wrestlers…..but he doesn’t believe he gets his deserved respect….even now as a reigning champion….and becoming “King” and potentially becoming a three time world champion would be something that tips him over the edge...I genuinely believe you’d have to start having conversations about Mike Hill and the Mt Rushmore of 6CWF…

JT: I think you have a point, although don’t tell Hill that…

Hill reaches the ring and climbs inside. He unstraps his championship and then stands on the ropes to hold it up in front of the booing masses. Hill dismisses the fans with an arrogant wave of his hand before “Limelight” roars through the airwaves…

RJ: But from one future hall of famer to someone who’s already there….Mr 6CW himself….

JT: But I’d argue, despite his career of amazing achievements, that GazzyD needs this more than Mike Hill…..GazzyD’s current life trajectory is downward….marriage on the rocks, results on the wane….

RJ: It has been difficult to watch for all of Gazzy’s adoring fans as well as all those who care about him deeply….we all know how the separation from Christy has affected him and that has shown in his first couple of months here in 6CWF….

JT: But last week he created a slither of light in the perennial darkness when he advanced in this tournament…

RJ: And he did it in the most un-GazzyD style….it was controversial and it was questionable…

JT: We aren’t used to seeing Gazzy bend the rules of morality but last week he did and it got him a big W….what can he produce here tonight?

RJ: And what about this new alliance for Gazzy? We saw earlier in a conversation with his estranged wife that he said Kristal is “just a friend” and that she is helping him through a difficult time….but we know Cameron Faith’s ex beau and “helpful” is not usually a word we’d use to describe her…..

JT: Faith told Gazzy as much earlier this evening but Gazzy was not in the mood for listening….he considers Kristal his new manager and he is not budging from that….

Pyros of silver and gold explode as Gazzy leaps through the trapdoor in the stage, a renewed smile on his face. Kristal then walks out from the back and puts an arm on his shoulder. The crowd are cheering their hero but there is clearly unsure looks about his new partnership…

RJ: Well it seems Kristal isn’t going anywhere in a hurry….but is this really what GazzyD needs in his career?

JT: Personally, and I like to think I know Gazzy pretty well...I think the best thing would be to patch things up with Christy, in my opinion, they are the perfect couple….they have hit a rough patch, that happens to the strongest of marriages….but this whole saga they have going on right now is not helping anyone….Christy’s “entanglement” with Uryu Ishida, Gazzy’s “whatever this is” with Kristal….I mean 6CW’s Golden Couple is pushing themselves further away from one another…

RJ: And one has to wonder how far down that track they can go before it becomes impossible to make their way back?

JT: Exactly…

Gazzy hugs Kristal and she walks down the steps to ringside as Gazzy leaps over the ropes into the ring. The referee checks both men over for concealments and then gives them his final instructions and expectations…

RJ: But for both these men….whether it’s Hill’s upcoming match with Cameron Faith….or Gazzy’s personal issues….tonight and right now is about the “Road to Royalty” and a spot in the semi finals….everything else has to go out the window….everything else has to be left behind…

JT: One fall to a finish….twenty minutes on the clock….who is going to “Against the Wall” for a semi-final match with Johnny Oko?

Both men step around the ring, their eyes never wavering, and Hill mouths “are you ready?” as Gazzy nods and they launch into a lockup. Hill quickly applies a side headlock and mocks Gazzy before they bounce back off the ropes and Hill is thrown across the ring. He returns and Gazzy looks for a hiptoss but Hill jumps out the side and lands a kick to the gut….Gazzy’s head drops and Hill grabs him…

RJ: This early? OVER THE HILL!

Gazzy puts the brakes on and he shoves Hill against the ropes again before this time catching him with the hiptoss. Hill gets back up and Gazzy knocks him down with a dropkick before welcoming him up a third time and he leaps into the air for a hurricanrana that sends Hill under the ropes to the outside…

JT: The crowed enjoyed that and so did Kristal…

Kristal is whistling and applauding from the outside. Hill stumbles to his feet as Gazzy grabs the top rope and catapults himself over into a crossbody takedown. Gazzy walks over to Kristal and she urges the crowd to cheer him before he turns his attention back to Mike Hill. Gazzy chucks him into the ring and then climbs up on the apron. He climbs up the turnbuckle but Hill is up and he nails a dropkick to Gazzy’s legs which cause him to fall into a crotched position on the ropes…

RJ: Gazzy not usually one to seek out the fanfare, it just comes naturally, so the way he played to the crowd there allowed Hill to steal in…

Hill climbs onto the second rope and he drives forearms into Gazzy’s head before leaping up and executes a top rope hurricanrana. Hill gets back up and follows in with a running shooting star press……………...1…………...2………..kickout.

JT: If you win the “Road to Royalty” which champion do you target? Uryu Ishida or Marty Helms…

RJ: Two top stars with very different styles….I think of the five men left in the tournament it would be a split decision…

Hill drags Gazzy up and plants him with a face-first suplex and then he rolls to the corner. Kristal is booing Hill and trying to distract him but he pays no attention. Hill is on the top rope and he flings himself into the “Mike Time” (450 splash) but finds nothing but canvass as Gazzy moves….

Hill is on his knees as Gazzy rolls over him and pulls him into a cradled cover……………...1…………….2……….kickout!

JT: These two have four world championship reigns between them….they are top tier with very similar styles...when this draw was made I know it was a practically 50-50 split on social media in regards to who people believe will win…

RJ: And we are seeing that playing out before us….very evenly matched…

They get back up and Hill lashes a kick upward towards Gazzy’s body but he catches Hill’s foot. The Euro Champ hobbles for a moment but then leaps up with his free leg and lands an enzeguiri to the temple. Gazzy staggers away to the corner and Hill handsprings in with a back elbow and then nails a pele kick to the top of the head, seating Gazzy in the corner. Hill runs to the adjacent ropes and returns with a flying hesitation dropkick (ala Chris Sabin) that really snaps Gazzy’s head against the turnbuckle….he drags him away and covers……………..1………….2……..kickout.

JT: Hill finding a groove now….a groove that is incredibly difficult to move him from once he’s in the zone….

Hill watches Gazzy getting up and then runs to the ropes and springboards off them before throwing Gazzy across the ring with an armdrag. Gazzy gets back up and Hill meets him head on with a front dropkick to the chest, sending him against the ropes. Hill runs in but Gazzy sidesteps and uses Hill’s momentum to throw him against the turnbuckle. He rushes in but Hill kicks out with both feet to the head….Gazzy stumbles as Hill lifts himself onto the second rope and dives off with a hill-can-rana…

RJ: You can see Kristal getting restless here at ringside...she was very scathing of Cameron Faith when he was on a losing streak, I’m sure she will not hesitate to ditch Gazzy if he does not pick it up here…

Gazzy staggers back to his feet and Hill pulls him in close for a belly to belly but “Mr 6CW” amazingly lands out on his feet. He quickly runs up the turnbuckle and then twists back with a crossbody takedown……………...1…………….2……….shoulder up!

JT: Now Kristal is back onside...I really don’t think this is going to be a health partnership…

Kristal bangs her hand on the mat and screams “let’s go” as Gazzy gets back to his feet. He pulls Hill up and tries to hook his arms in place for “Deep Impact” but Hill fights it and swipes Gazzy’s legs. He tries to turn Gazzy into the “MHND” (liontamer) but Gazzy manages to throw him away. They both get back up and Gazzy runs in but Hill uses his momentum to push him up…

RJ: Gazzy’s turn to land the hurricanrana….

Gazzy sends Hill flying through the middle ropes and out onto the apron. He listens to the roar from the crowd and then runs to the corner and springs off the middle turnbuckle before flying back to centre with a one legged dropkick to Hill’s head (ala Chris Jericho) that sends him flying to the outside…

JT: That may leave Hill out there for the ten count….big impact off that dropkick…

RJ: What is Kristal doing?

Gazzy looks to go out after Hill but the referee holds him back. Kristal uses the distraction to pull off her heel and she sneaks up on Hill to nail him with it but he spins around and catches her hand…

JT: She really is causing issues now…

Gazzy sprints to the ropes and nails a baseball slide to the back of Hill, breaking his grip on Kristal and sending him flying to the hard flooring. Gazzy drags Hill back up and chucks him into the ring. He leaps up onto the apron and springboards in…

RJ: 450 SPLASH!

Gazzy crashes down on top of Hill with the splash and hooks the legs…………...1……………………..2……...Hill just manages to throw his shoulder off the mat!

JT: Now Kristal is shrieking at the referee….I’m really not used to seeing this in a GazzyD match…

Kristal is reprimanding the referee as Gazzy looks out at her. She urges him to get the job done and he nods. He pulls Hill closer to the corner and then grips the ropes…

RJ: STARSHIP PAIN…

JT: Plenty of pain for GazzyD there…

Hill drives the knees up into Gazzy’s gut on landing and he rolls away in agony. Hill staggers back up and he waits for Gazzy to stand before running behind him and nails a bulldog. Hill then springs off the ropes…

RJ: Lionsault may finish it…

1.
..
..
..
….2
..
..
………...thr-shoulder up!

JT: Hill thought he had it and he’s telling the referee as much but this one continues…

Hill stomps down at Gazzy’s head a few times and then heads for the ropes. He climbs up and waits for Gazzy to stand before jumping off toward him with a missile dropkick but Gazzy moves to the side at the final second and sends his man into the canvass. Gazzy quickly leaps out onto the apron, Hill on his stomach, and he springs back in with a foot stomp to the back of Hill’s head……………...1……………...2……….kickout!

RJ: That was a new one from GazzyD but I’m not surprised...he has so many amazing moves in his arsenal…

JT: Which is why he’s always been so loved by these fans…

Gazzy listens to the crowd chanting his name as Kristal takes over and acts as though she got the chant going. Gazzy lets Hill get up and then grabs him from behind…

RJ: HISTORY MAKER!

Gazzy looks for the inverted “twist of fate” but Hill swings out and rolls Gazzy up…

JT: He’s got the tights…

1.
..
….2
..
…...Kristal is screaming at the referee about the infringement and the official breaks the pin!

JT: Hill almost stole one but for once Kristal has been a blessing for GazzyD…

Hill gets up and he glares at Kristal before turning his focus back to GazzyD. He twirls on his heel and plants him into Gazzy’s stomach, doubling him up, and then runs the ropes and leaps into a foot stomp across the back which drops Gazzy down…

RJ: Hill returning the favour on the stomp….and now he’s going up….NEXT BIG MOVE!

Kristal grabs Gazzy and pulls him from the ring which sparks surprise from the crowd. The referee is over and giving Kristal her last warning as she continues to shout back at the official. Hill is still on the ropes, looking furious, and he jumps to the outside…

JT: KRISTAL JUST GOT HERS!

RJ: And for once I don’t think this crowd are against Mike Hill’s actions….

Kristal has just rested Gazzy against the apron as Hill flies through the air and ends up knocking her down with a crossbody. He shows no remorse as he gets up but then eats a step up enzeguiri from Gazzy that slumps him against the apron. Gazzy throws Hill back in the ring…

JT: Gazzy has a choice to make here….check on Kristal or finish the job….

RJ: In some ways I’m glad to see the old GazzyD remains…

Gazzy chooses to check on Kristal and makes sure she’s ok but when she comes around she shrieks at him to get in the ring and finish the job. Gazzy seems surprised but nods and rolls in. Hill staggers up and Gazzy kicks him in the gut….

JT: DEEP IMPACT!

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 3rd July 2023 (Episode 7)

Post by JJJohnson Tue 04 Jul 2023, 9:55 am

Hill swipes the feet and rolls over the top….

RJ: Hill’s got his feet on the ropes and Kristal isn’t up to see it…

1.
...2
…….Gazzy manages to kick out!

JT: Referee didn’t see it that time and Gazzy was forced to find a way out himself…

They both get back up and Gazzy dodges a right hand before running the ropes. He springboards onto them and floats back with a sunset flip takedown……….1…………….2……….shoulder up. Both men get back to their feet and Gazzy moves out of the way of another clothesline…

RJ: DOWNTOWN!

The skull crushing finale lands and Gazzy hooks the leg……………..1…………..2……….Hill kicks out. Gazzy looks nonplussed as he drags Hill toward the corner…

JT: STARSHIP PAIN….SHOULD BE ALL!

1.
...2
..
………..3!

RJ: I guess that’s why Hill is a champion here in 6CWF….he’s got some real fight in him, like him or not…

The crowd are ready to celebrate as the referee’s hand comes down for three but Hill throws his shoulder off the mat. Gazzy looks at the referee in disbelief but is told it was a definite two count. He gets back up and takes a deep breath…

JT: Perhaps a little doubt creeping into Gazzy’s mind here….he’s landed some of his very best moves…

RJ: Gazzy needs to stay composed….he is in a great position here….HISTORY MAKER!

Hill twists out again and lands a roundhouse kick to the side of Gazzy’s head, sending him staggering to the corner. Hill runs in and dives into the air for a hesitation back elbow strike before he pulls Gazzy out and sets him down with a brainbuster. Hill rolls out onto the apron and springs back in with a legdrop……………...one…………….two…………..thre-kickout!

JT: Desperately, desperately close….

Hill claps his hands at the referee but is told it was a two. He grabs Gazzy by the head and drags him up before flipping him onto his shoulders (dominator position). He prepares to spin Gazzy off into an inverted STO (Chris Sabin’s OverEasy) but Gazzy lands out on his feet and steps behind Hill…

RJ: HISTORY MAKER….HE GOT HIM!

1.
..
...2
..
…...Hill kicks out again!

JT: Gazzy has been to the mountain top, he’s won countless titles and headlined the biggest events but he is definitely starting to wonder if tonight is going to be his night….

RJ: Hill said he was going to be king and nothing could stop that…

Gazzy staggers back into the ropes and pushes his hair away. Kristal is yelling at him but it is clear he is having a dilemma of confidence. He watches at Hill struggles to his knees and then hurries forward and grabs hold of him…

JT: Gazzy going back to “Deep Impact”….this is how he’s won most of his big matches...HERE WE GO!

Hill backs to the ropes and scores with a backdrop over the top but Gazzy lands on his feet on the walkway. Hill turns around and Gazzy grabs his head but Hill drops down and guillotines him across the top rope, sending him sprawling across the walkway. Hill looks around and then he springs onto the ropes…

RJ: NEXT BIG MOVE ONTO THE WALKWAY!

The crowd are going wild and can’t help but applaud as Hill spins out into the 630 corkscrew that lands across Gazzy’s chest on the ramp. Hill is hurting but he manages to stumble up on three and falls through the ropes into the ring as the referee counts…

JT: I’m not sure Gazzy is getting up here….that was crushing impact…

The referee’s count is at eight and Kristal throws caution to the wind and climbs up to distract the referee and break his count. Hill moves over now to confront her as well..

RJ: Mike Hill had enough here….conveniently forgetting his own rule breaking in this match…

JT: Be that as it may you cannot stress enough how Kristal is impacting upon this match…

Hill seizes Kristal by the hair and is telling her exactly what he thinks when Gazzy spins him around and unleashes with right hands. He grabs Hill’s arm and whips him across the ring. Hill comes back and he dodges a clothesline attempt before hitting the opposite ropes, where Kristal trips him…

RJ: Hill looks ready to blow a fuse…

Hill spins in annoyance as Gazzy clatters him from behind. Gazzy prepares to pull Hill into another “History Maker” but Hill sits down into a jawbreaker. Gazzy is stood up, slumped over, as Hill gets to his feet and seizes his opponent’s head…

JT: OVER THE…

Hill is in mid flip when Gazzy catches him and staggers into the ropes, dumping Hill down onto the apron. Hill lands on his feet and immediately lands a pele kick that glances Gazzy’s head and staggers him. Hill then prepares to springboard back in but Gazzy runs in and grabs him…

RJ: Gazzy caught Hill with that European uppercut there….HUNG NECKBREAKER….WOW!

JT: WAIT JUST A MINUTE!

1
..
..
..
….2
..
..

……………...3!!!

RJ: Well would you believe it…

Gazzy catches Hill with an uppercut, blocking his springboard, but leaves him hanging on the top rope. He twists him off into a corkscrew neckbreaker and makes the cover. Hill puts his foot on the bottom rope at the count of two but Kristal swipes it off before the referee can see and the three count is completed…

JT: This is….well I don’t even know what to say…

RJ: GazzyD is a “Road to Royalty” semi-finalist….but he has achieved it in even more controversial fashion than his win last week….what is going on here?

JT: Gazzy is winning and he is certainly adopting the “by any means necessary” outlook….this link up with Kristal may be unhealthy but right now it seems to have its benefits…

RJ: The crowd don’t know what to think….they are delighted to see success for GazzyD, they are delighted to see him beat Mike Hill….but the manner? And his alliance with Kristal? I think that is taking some swallowing…

“Limelight” is playing and the fans are cheering and applauding although there are some confused faces amongst the audience. Kristal is already in the ring and she leaps into Gazzy, wrapping her legs around him, celebrating as though she just won the match…

RJ: I don’t know if Gazzy is aware of just how many assists he got here tonight from Kristal….

JT: I’m not sure he will care….it’s been a rocky road at this juncture of his career but suddenly the wins are stacking up….does he complain? Does he demand Kristal take a backseat? Or does he carry on toward, potentially, another world champion reign?

RJ: A dilemma of morals I guess but for right now GazzyD is going to celebrate and I’m sure Kristal will be right there beside him….not sure how Christy is feeling watching this right now?

JT: I don’t think anyone knows how to feel right now….but all we do know is that our semi-finals are locked in……….Scott Harris and O’Callaghan……...Johnny Oko and GazzyD….one of those four men will become “King” of 6CWF at “Against The Wall”….

RJ: This has been some night of action….it’s hard to believe everything we have seen here tonight….

JT: The show was stacked….6CWF is going from strength to strength….in seven nights we do it all over again….but for now it’s goodnight everybody!

The show ends with Gazzy, hand in hand, with Kristal on the stage celebrating the victory. Mike Hill is shown yelling at the referee and t
elling him that his foot was on the ropes. Gazzy turns to Kristal and hugs her as the show comes to an end.
