How are the players going to be rated? We are all different ages and have different memories of certain players.

Are all current players excluded? (I think they should be)

Will players be valued in similar price brackets to ERL?

I agree we need to start soon, fluxy or prop might be interested but none of the two seem to be budging.

Players will be valued on how good they were or are in there prime years, like a couple of years ago Habana was the best winger in the World but now he has gone off the radar, if you buy Habana we all should rate him by how good he was in his prime.

The draft is sorted of course, I will add Bathite's team then hopefully get the ball rolling later today or weekend, but that time can be a bit awful for most on here.

yeah rate them as if they were in their playing prime so your Robinsons, Habanas, Shane Wiliams etc will all be top top players

I strongly oppose including current players, think it takes away the point of the game

all players from 80's onwards are inlcuded so current are available as well. Whole pointof a legends team is you can mix the recent legends with the older onces

You have to go with modern players, or you will just be left with 80's and some 90's players.

2000 everyone will have knowledge on that era, so I can't leave them out meaning we have to go with some current players and some old one's to have a good mixture.

I thought we weren't doing 80's players..

Now that we have 9 managers you could get away with doing the draw for draft positions - just leave the extra team and 'Spare manager'

not fair on the 10th team if we don't pick for them . . . or you could leave the tenth team and have it as a by in the results for whomever plays them?

Wouldn't oppose for that, 1990-2010 players I think I will go for.

I don't mind either way - think with the 80's players you might have to be tactical as not many people will know much about them so it's pick at your peril.

Hon - I didn't mean pick the players for the spare team just do the draw of positions so we know who is team 1 team 2 etc and where we stand in order of picking

Or I cut this league down to 8, meaning one person would have to step aside.

right pull/Bear I have done the lettering for the teams through random.org I will private message them to Pull now so there is no naughty business

Then bear whenever you want if you random the number and letters then we can work this one out

Sorry Bear, didn't want to rain on your parade just trying to help you out. With the sides order of picking sorted it means the league can pretty much start once the tenth person is in.

bear - just put hte letters A to J into randomizer then put them here in the order they cam out in for example:

etc . .

I will then put up the team name in the order

So Driver will get first pick at a loosehead prop, mystery team 10 will get first pick for hooker etc...

Why have you complicated things by re ordering the teams, what was wrong with the order they are in on the homepage? Every team gets the same number of 1st choice picks, 2nd choice picks etc...

Im getting really bored of one person saying one thing and one person saying another, change this change that.

I was just about to change the process of the draft to include that list, I was also thinking of doing it in alphabetical order or the order the teams are on in the homepage.

But loads do this numbers to letters thing aswell.

mate if you don't have all players from 80 or 90's onwards including those playing now there is no point in it.

That will lower the quality of the players, im going to include all players from 1990-2010, that means Phillips, Habana, O'Gara etc... rated by the quality they were in there prime years.

Im going to random those teams into a generator and do it that way.

Whoever comes out on top will get first pick for loosehead etc... numbers and letters are too complicated even though we did get around it.

Will random the teams now, and the orders will be up on the draft page asap.

Bear why do more work when we've just effectively randomised it. On the draft page you now need to substitute team A for Seaton Carew sex kittens and Team B for Sandhurst exhiles.. etc etc

I think we need to get this going and start the draft.

Why doesn't one of us (I am happy to do it) take the role of caretaker manager for Team 10 and do their picks to get a squad together.

If we leave this any longer people are going to start losing interest I reckon.

Draft done randomed again, would of taken the same time if we did it your way banafan and pullthestrings.

It's sorted now and it's all set to go.

If your all ready or most of you are ready, we need to decide what to do about manager number 10.

When it comes round to Team 10's pick I draw up a list of 5 players in that position and by random.org I will random them, whoever comes out on top Team 10 gets that player?

Ah feck it: if it's not too demanding (i.e 20mins a day) I'll be able to do a team. Just be warned I won't be about too often! How long would the draft last?
