Thanks. I was an occasional poster on 606 but more often just enjoyed the debates and the humour from the sidelines!

IMO thazzo was a very mature poster. His absence can be felt here.

Also, comeone asked about CP. Well CP, Boromir, Rez, Unbiased, Jewel of the east, west, northeast, spaghettihans can only join here only as MTL does not have any wums. MTL comes across as a very mature forum and even the mods carry on their business in a smooth way.

And many of the WUMs had multiple IDs...lets hope this forum doesnt become subject to that.

lol....no NITB, me neither, would have to be another guitar scale and I'd get sussed out quickly! Some WUMs love to do it though...even argue against themselves on forums which is just plain weird.

I wouldnt mind guys like AIR joining as they were genuinely lighthearted and funny.

No idea....I only go to Tennis.com...I like one of the columnists there a lot, but the posters are utter bogttom 9/10, although there are a few brilliant characters...
The problem is everyone changes their nicknames, so you wouldn't know...this forum will grow, it's early days and it's doing fine.
I haven't posted at MTL, but it looks really unorganised and cluttered, and the lingo is just roughly early 20s, all looks like a big console game (at least that's how I imagine them to look like, never seen one )
This is much nicer and cosier....

Changing nicks is one thing, having lots of them at one time is another. Life is too short to be messing around playing those daft games, and with stronger moderation at least they can be spotted easier.

I've never seen many good tennis forums, when I got hacked off with 606 and left, I didnt find many good ones at all. I do like the clear layout of this site - nothing worse than 'busy' layout forums, not very inviting. The clear majority of posters are good on here and the level of chatter is definitely increasing since end of April when I joined and it seemed pretty quiet.

I went to MTL and like NITB found it somewhat awkward to use. This is by far the easiest forum to use and you meet loads of nice people

There were few anti murray wums as well like strettyend, virtualmatchpoint, karakorum etc.

This forum is going good so far. MTL is also good forum. They have got quite few brilliant posters. It is very interesting to read.

I think the posters here are ok. Nothing like the garbage you got on 606. I stopped going there because I just couldn't handle the wumming and how it really irritated people to death. The snooker wums made me laugh the most with the fact they could link the 2 together.

So what do you think as where these posters are going to go?

Frankly, I couldn't care less.

I've been on here since February, sick to the back teeth of how dreadful 606 was. When I came here, it felt like a breath of fresh air. There was people from all the different camps, but there was a general sense of trying to make it work, because we were all utterly fed up of what the forum we had come from had become. That doesn't mean it makes it a namby pamby one, but being respectful in a public arena costs nothing.

What do the majority want from this forum? A better place? or a place to welcome the flotsom and getsum floating around waiting to gnash their teeth and sink them into something to turn it into what they clearly loved before. There are people calling for those sorts of individuals to join. And is this what the majority wants? A link is posted of what 606 ended like, sorry ... but it had delved into unacceptable levels a long while before that ... for all fans.

Finally found this place - my sense of direction was never a strength !

I kind of gave up on 606 near the end - too much arguing with WUMs became tiring. Glad to see almost all of my favourite posters are on here. Love the site so far.

Hi guys, I am here from 606, and lovely meeting all of you again. I was (did you guess it?) Tennisanorak out there too! That forum could be very good at times and awful at others.

Lk, Simple anlayst and masked magician were cp in their earlier life.

MM's postings have been rather thin on the ground of late.

Maybe he can devise a come back plan for Nadal?

I don;t think SA was CP...morelike UE to me. Looks like he wants to keep it a secret trying maybe to improve his reputation but unfortuantely for him the style is teh same as UE!

Completely agree with Tenez,

His writing as well as his points are all strikingly resembling of UE,

Even the name has a certain familiarity about it.

I think CP was a different person to UE, however Boromir 7 had a very similar style to UE.

MM is not CP wow. We believe MM to be someone else.

Not at all. CP knew his tennis but had a strong dislike of Federer and this is where his objectivity was more than dubious. He was not a fan of Nadal either. He was just happy that Nadal lessoned Federer on many occasions. A bit different!
