Actually, didn't Virginia Wade play a match (USO on grass I think in the early-mid 70s) in spiked trainers because the court was so slippery?

BTW, don't know how wet it is at Wimbledon at the moment, but recently went outside here in Hemel Dumpstead and damn nearly drowned. Absolutely persistenting down at the moment, and probably too dark to see the ball as well.

At last we could see the ball skidds off like in the good old days....and physical players woudl be at a serious disadvantage.

as long as the grass dont turn to mud i would not mind

too dangerous, potential for some damage to players shoulders, knees , back etc. if they fell at speed. that said at the FO they do play on if there is light rain

the players would have to move slower.both players would have same risk factors
