606 v2 All Time ODI XI series-England-Openers

So lets start with England.
Here is the poll for the openers
If you think I have missed a deserving candidate plz tell me.I will add him to the poll.


Please Note:If you pick Stewart as an opener then you may pick 2 all rounders down the order.If you dont pick Stewart then you must pick a Wicket keeper down the order.Stewart's votes over here would also be counted in the keeper category.So plz dont vote for him in both the categories.However if you want stewart as a specialist opener and another keeper down the order then you may pick another keeper down the order instead of the 2nd all rounder.But no double voting.
Say for example stewart gets maximum votes as an opener as well as a keeper separately then he will open and another all rounder will be picked down the order.But if he isnt in the top 2 openers but his total votes in both the categories are more than any other specialist keeper then Stewart will be picked as a keeper down the order and only 1 all rounder will be picked in the Final XI.

I hope everyone is clear.But if you still have doubts plz ask.

tresco and knight.

Agree, individually has got to be tresco and knight. However, would be tempted to go with a left - right combination to try and upset the bowling lines first up.

gone with Tresco and Amiss. Amiss was a terrific ODI player

Maybe a sign of the age of most contributors on here. I for one can't honestly remember many of Gooch's odi innings, whereas I have a much better recollection of the relative contributions made by Knight and Trescothick.
