We'll make it a 20-man league then:

Sav + OTW + Posh + Pav + Fernando all in. OK

1 more manager needed.

Actually no, don't think I could deal with a 20-man league. Laugh

I will keep it at 16. Pav there may be room for you mate if Follow decides he hasn't got the time, or if the other lads who have shown interest back out. OK

16 managers is a lot easier to run competitions than 20 managers, such as fa cup or champions league type things OK

All you do with that is have 8 teams drawn to play each other in a qualifying round and then the 4 winners enter the competition with the 12 other teams.

16 is best I think. With 20 sides you're likely to have 2-3 managers that are not very active and those sides may fall into decline. Better to have 16 active managers - and if they can't commit there are people ready to step in. thumbsup

budgets seem really high to me. I'd say top about 120?

don't want too much money in the game or it becomes silly.

Hodgey, genious idea, go back and look at your fantasy league on 606, everyone loved that. get budgets from there? OK

MOT they were about 200 then. The last league I did I remember I made budgets so small that releases had to be done so soon and also transfers were very low such as Messi for £40m...

Would agree with most of those mate, but think Everton need more cash, they have one of the smallest squads in the league. £140m-£150m would be fairer. Maybe a touch more for Arsenal and Liverpool as well I reckon

Blackburn Rovers £200m
West Brom £200m
Wigan Athletic £200m
Bolton £180m
Stoke City £170m
Sunderland £160m
Fulham £150m
Newcastle United £150m
Aston Villa £140m
Everton £140m
Tottenham Hotspur £100m
Liverpool £55m
Manchester City £40m
Arsenal £40m
Manchester United £25m
Chelsea £20m

How much are players worth on this? Any chance of a price guide? Can we assume its normal market rates?

Agree with Bathite, Everton are really average. Certainly not better than Villa squad-wise.

And the transfer limits seem fine to me mate. They are the top 3 every season so can't argue with it.

Bathite cheers for that mate. You do have a point, although they have decent players such as Baines, Arteta, Rodwell that can easily be released. I'll go £140m instead. OK

If you mean normal market rates, you're probably going to pay over the odds as that's what's happening in real life now. You're talking about £30-40m for the likes of Xavi + Iniesta, anywhere upward of £45m for Ronaldo + Messi, and between £25-30 for the likes of Sneijder etc.

Yeah maybe I was too harsh on Newcastle. They do have Ben Arfa though who could get released for a bit, other than that fair enough. I'll raise them to £170m.

Just read the transfer rules. Seems like it will all happen very quickly in a short period of time. Any chance that we can organise a set window to do this in? Otherwise, if im away from my desk for a few hours, or heaven forbid, have a day off! Then when i come back, i'll have no-one good left to sign

Bathite don't worry mate, there will be a time when foreigns take place don't worry. They will close over night and then reopen at the same time. OK

Follow I know FootballCrazy from other places than here so can easily contact him if he goes AWOL so will give him a chance. If not, there are plenty on the waiting list. OK

Who would be up for helping in the draw? I'll number managers, someone needs to number teams, and then someone to match the manager number to team number...
