Pavey out of Worlds

Jo Pavey is out of the worlds. I think this is a real shame as she would have been able to see the improvement from London and also it would have been a good marker for 2012
Damon is also out of the worlds as well

Not really a suprise that Jo & Louise have pulled out of Daeju.
They both need another performance under 2h30m this year
to stand any chance of making the Olympics next year and they
aint gonna get that sort of time in hot & humid Daeju.
Much better to run in either Berlin or New York.
Selectors will have a tough job selecting three from Pavey,
Damon, Radcliffe,Yamauchi and Liz Yelling and I would have
thought the last thing anyone wants is a 'raceoff' in
April's London Marathon for the Olympic event a mear
fourteen or so weeks later.

Anyone seen the start list for Berlin or NY yet?
It could be a virtual race off anyway if all of them decide to go to Berlin?

No problem with a race off in November this year.
We need a clear idea of the three ladies to be selected
by the end of his year.
Worst possible senario would be one or more places to be decided
in the London event.

I guess we need the top 3 and then a couple as back-ups who could run the Euro´s in 2012 if the top 3 are all fit

Good point. Europeans would be a good option for
a reserve.

Mara Yamauchi now out. So with Damen and Pavey also out GB has no individual representatives in the Daegu marathon.
