Povetkin for me, never really rated Chagaev at all, to be honest. He really has been a case of gaining success due to a weak field of competition.

Yeah i expect Povetkin to take a UD, not sure if he can stop him. Looks like they're just keeping Povetkin out of the way until the Klitschko's retire.

He's not awful but dear god show me another era where he'd even be a contender... Chagaev a bit limited imo aswell can see him being stopped mid rounds or UD to Provotkin

Not sure I like this attitude of hiding under a pile of coats until the k's retire. Maybe we are being unfair, but hes an established heavyweight by now.

Perhaps he'll come out of the curtains when Vitali is having to walk to the ring in a zimmerframe.

wondered where povetkin had been hiding. i dont blame him for not rushing in to fight the k bros, hes still improving and is relativly young (31) for a heavyweight. he should get a little more experience with fights like this before he made a challenge for the belt, he's only had 21 fights and nobody expects him to topple the most dominant force in the division just yet. he should wait and get a little experience then challenge when he is ready.

Mr. Ruslan not only beat younger, more viable versions of Mr. Valuev and Ruiz, but he also had Mr. Haye ducking him when Mr. Ruslan was the King of all he surveyed in Russia well before Mr. Povetkin established any credentials whatsoever. Moreover, since 2009 forward, Mr. Chagaev has fought a vastly superior class of heavy, losing only to Mr. Wlad. In that time Mr. Povetkin on the other hand has fought class C fighters and twice ducked Mr. Wlad, and I do not use the term "ducked" lightly as so many on this forum do.

You are well within your rights to poopah Mr. Ruslan, but please do not misstate the obvious record which is clear in this example. Mr. Povetkin was a real and touted fighter until 2008, but since has become a shadow trying to recover whatever form he used to have before he melted into the loving arms of Mr. Teddy for a horrid makeover.

does anybody know, how is this for the WBA title when wlad won it and hasn't even defended it yet? is he super diamond mega champ and these guys are fighting for the belt he should have had, or did the WBA decide to strip wlad for been tall or something like that?
