Contentious issues 606!

First off all my own work.

Learned my lesson.

Lets move on.

Evening guys I have been a member of boxing 606 as well as the late great bbc boxing 606 for the last 5 years or so now. Over the years we have discussed various topics on here but there are a few topics that really stick out. Some topics have resulted in friendships being made and bonds being broken but what are they? These topics have aroused debate and never seem to get old. This is my attempt at a top ten list that reflects the most contentious issues on 606 (both versions)

1) Joe Calzaghe (names on record and lack of names on record)
2) Mike Tyson and prime Mike Tyson
3) Donald Curry
4) For some reason Ritchie Woodhall and Nigal Benn??? (must confess I never involved myself in this but it was once a hot topic)
5) Them 2,you know who im talking about. Will they ,wont they.
6) Roberto Duran (No Mas, Hearns and atg ranking)
7) Who framed Roger Rabbit.

Ok the last one is a joke but these 6 topics are the ones that I remember the most. Maybe I am wrong and maybe you can do better, would be interested to see what you guys can think of.

The prime Mike Tyson and other assorted Tyson subjects i.e didn't train for Douglas, was ruined by King, was ruined by Robin Givens, was a saint who was fitted up by law enforcement etc, etc, etc..

Tyson WAS fitted up and he was RUINED by Givens and he...wait better not.

It's pretty contentious now to not bow down to the Sainted Wlad the Philanthropist/Humanitarian/ Really Nice Guy. Just cos he is excellent defensively, doesn't mean we have to like him.Although I will say his powers as a self-promoter are also a league above DH.

The Tyson thing is so old-hat, but pro-Mike guys creep out of the woodwork every now and then and need to be swatted like mosquitos.

"Old versus New" debates are PARTICUALRLY controversial and similarly old hat, and the joke about protein shakes giving somoene the edge over Ali/whoever, please let us put that one to bed ,guys.
