Test cricket ...crushingly dull...
...except when England play.
Does anyone else miss the days of boring draws? Im pretty sure they wll have to start putting health warnings on suppoting England similar to those on roller coasters
What a series this has been already.

In the past few years, test matches have been exciting, gone are the days when captain aimed for a draw to avoid defeat, that may bring bad name to his captaincy.
And of course cricket fans find test matches exciting when his/her favourite team is playing.

Sure do PSW , what happened to a nice dull day in england with a side 250 - 5 after 96 overs.
I can handle this new superstrength cricket dim problem. Having watched the 2005 ashes ; after 7 August that year I could deal with most test cricket however scary having survived that morning.
But I'll probably have a grey hairs check next week.

Brilliant day of Cricket great advertisement for the game, shades of 05!

Sporting pitches are good for cricket. No one likes the flat roads Sri Lanka produces where the scoreboard often reads SL 600-3.

Precisely, England is the perfect country for Test cricket really. It has a bit of everything - runs if you bat diligently, wickets if you bowl consistent lines and length, a little bit for the spinner later in the game, movement through the air, movement off the pitch.

Keep the odi's and every other aspect of the quick slog ,and enjoy the game as it should be played over 5 days. Because there is nothing quite like this form of the game to get all your senses jangling and your brain and emotions into overdrive. I just love the 5 day test match, and even loved it when England were an embarressment. Long may it continue!

I gave Broad a brief thought today . The irony that there was power batting , the ball going around the park for hours, loads and loads of controversy at Trent Bridge and yet he wasn't involved at all . I didn't even see him once today
