Re: What's in YOUR bag?
Was very interested when they asked Fred Couples what he had in his bag, he had 3 different types of super glue, for cuts (think it is to seal the cut). The most surprising thing was, he carries some sandpaper in case his grips get to smooth, now that's a new one me, never heard of that before.

Interesting comment there about Freddie, I know he never uses a glove so grip could be a problem. But is he allowed to sandpaper his grips during the round? Surely that is altering the club and therefore not allowed??
ps.... what is 1 degree of extra loft on the toe??

This is a strange one, he did not say if he done it on the practice ground or during a tournament, I would not think that using a bit of sandpaper to your grip during a round could be classed as altering your club??
Hope someone in the know might be able to answer this one for us.

I would guess that its like having a towel on your bag, its not altering the club, but it does clean it or dry the grip. he may use the sand paper on his glove - oh he doesn't wear one.
If my tackle is chaffing I make an adjustment, it doesn't alter the tackle, just makes it more comfortable :606laugh:

I think Freddie is one of few players who do not wear a glove, so he will no doubt be quite particular about his grips.

Things are starting to get back to normal now thanks LJ, it's been a hard winter with loads of problems, and I was seriously considering giving the game up. Now I'm back to full fitness (GP has got my migraines under control after 10 years of suffering), got my appetite for the game back and raring to go!

Yep. Lots of reasons for it... but at the end of the day I'm not paying 1300 quid + for that place. It's not worth it to be treated as second class to greenfees and people coming in for a sunday lunch.
All I need to do is get down to the new track and register for only 680 a year. It's about five minutes drive further away than the current club so hardly a hassle.
Sounds good about the problems. Work all sorted as well I hope.

By the way LJ my new Betti' has just landed. Took it out of the packaging and first impressions are really good. I'm liking the honeycombe face, and the hosel and shaft join is a dream. It's the 348g and feels brilliant and well ballanced, so will need to see if I can use it next. A thing of Beauty though and obviously well engineered. I was hoping for a nice discreet white grip but got a nice black soft rubber Bettinardi 'B' logo'd Lamkin

Bit dodgy that they've kept it going on for so long... but then if enough people get jobs in the interim period they will save on redundancy payouts.

Hey Goldy
Welcome back, glad to read you have your hunger back for the game!
With this new site, it's much easier to get in touch with people and post email addresses etc so there are a few get-togethers being arranged if you are interested in any meets?

If it continues try coming off the site, clearing out cookies/cache/history and then log back to see if that sorts it out.
Hero
