First topic message reminder :

Any of you guys looking foward to the start of the season next week, if you like college football, what teams do you like, I myself follow the wolverines and huskers. But only the huskers have an oppportunity for the big one this year. Cant wait for lsu v oregon on the 3rd at cowboys stadium.

I would also recommend the following film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758794/

A true story based on the events of the early 1970's the College lost most of the Football teams plus coaches, wives etc and how they came back very moving if you like films like Remember the Titans, one of the best football films there is
Thanks Leeds, I might ask you for a second team later on.

Thanks for that Leeds, looks like I've got plenty to get reading up on.

Pr4wn, I think the current layout is fine but if the NCAA football talk picks up then it could be seperated but at the moment I don't see it as being necessary.

Could we rename this topic to Which NCAA teams do you support? Then we can create a players to watch thread and create some others, just seems the title of Ncaa football is a bit broad for one thread.

Yeah, college football sounds good, btw the other player i forgot to mention the other day to look out for was marcus lattimore, he is the best running back since A.D and will be the best in NFL in a few years no doubt.

College football is fine but it seems to me to be exactly the same as it being called NCAA football? It was just my view that maybe with it's title it made it seem like all NCAA football topics should be discussed in the one thread.

I'm currently watching TCU vs Baylor and have just been introduced to Anson Kelton.

For those of you who don't know of him (and who would) he is the TCU Punter and is 6-4, 280 pounds. He outweighs everyone on the Baylor defensive line, hilarious.

Cracking game so far if anyone gets a chance to watch it.

That game does look like it was a great watch! TCU giving up 50pts and 7 TD's... last year on the road over the whole season (5 games) they only gave up 7 TD's and 54pts!

Watched the TCU Baylor game that just now (well 3 and half quaters before the recording ran out >.<) and must say I was really impressed with RG3 Kendall Wright and Baylor's DT Jean Pierre or something. Looking at the result pretty gutted I missed the last half a quater, looking forward to tonights game on espn, though its a shame they're not showing oregon vs lsu.

Those who watched the Baylor-TCU game, what did you think of the Baylor QB Robert Griffin? I have only seen the highlights but some of his throws were pretty impressive.

Any thoughts on who is going to win the Oregon-LSU showdown? Boise/Georgia should also be a good game

Anyone got a link were you can watch NCAA games? Can't afford to get ESPN and there would be no point seeing as I'm back off to university soon where I wouldn't get it, you can PM it to me if you would rather do that then post it.

Shouldn't you have been watching the Warhawks @ the Seminoles?

Tried to watch USF @ ND but the game seems to have been cancelled at half time either that or they're just having a really long break, I muted it at half time and missed their decision but it's now just a replay of a game from last season.

EDIT: Just seen it's a weather delay.

EDIT 2: 3rd Quarter's about to start.

I hate those. Last year as a new college football watcher I was watching the Vols vs someone in the SEC and there was a 90 minute weather delay after the 1st qtr

That is usually how week one of the college season starts. Aside from the Marquee TV games (LSU Oregon, Boise Georgia, even TCU Baylor) its just all the big sides playing some locally based team from the basement of the FBS or even a tier further down! Tends to be ridiculously lopsided, hard to find decent games to watch, although you do get the odd shock like Utah St almost pipping Auburn.

I watched USC vs Minnesota (or at least large parts of it). Matt Barkley looked pretty tidy at QB, although they were a bit shaky late on.

It was a 2 hour delay at half time (the first weather delay in Notre Dame's history) then with just over 4 minutes of the 4th quarter left they had another rain delay which was going to be at least 30 minutes, so I just went to bed. Just checked the score USF won 23-20 and the delay in the 4th quarter was 43 minutes including delays the game lasted 5 hours 59 minutes, which was long enough for NBC to give up on it and show a film and Versus showed the end of the game.

My streams improved not had any issues yet in the 3rd quarter, though lightning is being reported within 12 miles, and if it gets within 6 miles there will be a weather delay.

Weather Delay. Hopefully the break can bring Marshall back into the game.

I think the Michigan game may already have been on, either that or they might have decided against showing it as it finished early due to the weather.

Great ESPN are now showing "NASCAR Countdown" instead of the Marshall @ West Virginia game, they say they'll go back to the game when it resumes play, but I don't have the patience to put up with NASCAR rubbish just to see the end of the game.

I'm not sure about griffin, saw some mock drafts saying he is a terrelle pryor type guy, meaning 3rd or 4th round, although i have seen others hyping him as a 1st round pick. I personally feel if teams are as qb needy as this year he will most likely go in the middle of the 1st round, if not he should not drop out of the second round. He has legitmate late 4.4 speed, he is tall and has a rocket arm, he was also representing his college in hurdles and sprint finals in the ncaa when he was still in school i saw on espn so he must be one of the best athletes around. Oakland will draft him, watch this space.

good point, do they not only have a 1st and a 6th or something, if he keeps up this early form, you have to assume he would declare, imagine him, luck barkley, landry jones, kirk cousins, ryan lindely, nick foles and even ryan tannehill declaring, has there been a better list of qb's in recent times. Oh can't forget denard robinson.

Hello, im new to this site, so im starting to get involved with all of the sports i play/watch.

As a Saints fan i should probably be a die-hard Tulane Green Wave fan, but since the university has basically cut funding for their football programs they wont ever be competitive.

So instead for college im a big LSU Tigers fan. I dont get to watch as much of their games as i would like to, but having Sky and ESPN is just too much money to spend on TV.

Im a fan of college football mainly for watching the draft prospects and evaluating talent before they enter the NFL draft, but ill also keep track of the season all the way to the end of season bowl's.

Hopefully LSU can do a bit better than last year's cotton bowl victory!

But seeing as i watch the Saints online too, i just get tired at watching a small pixelated screen for hours on end...

Saying that i did see an Oregon game on ESPN when they did a weekend freeview!
