Not Enough Cameras?
Admittedly this is based on just 120 minutes (France/Japan 2nd Half and England/Argentina), but it seemed that for every kick at goal we started with a close up of the kicker and then a long distance shot from the touchline.
At no point were cameras from either behind the kicker looking at the posts, or behind the posts used.
Is this due to a lack of cameras placed round the grounds, or a conscious decision by the host broadcaster. Either way seems rather dumb.

noticed a few times when the camera changed to the close up, it wasn't even pointing at the action.

It wasn't the cameras, the whole game lacked that extra dimension.
