Shrewsbury $75000 ITF
This is probably a long shot, but I wondered if anyone from here was going to watch this next week? I'm going as Shrewsbury's not too far for me, but very few of my mates are interested in going to watch live tennis so I thought it'd be cool to meet a fellow tennis enthusiast in real life.
I also tend to go and watch the pre-Wimbledon events in Birmingham and Nottingham.

Re: Shrewsbury $75000 ITF
Went Tuesday, saw 1r singles wins for Broady, Watson and Keothavong. Also got talking to Heather Watson's mum, and a very nice lady she was. Seriously recommend going to watch tournaments live if you can make it. It's great to catch the atmosphere and see the players in the flesh rather than on tv.

Priesty the reality is unless any of the "big names" i.e the likes of the Williams sisters, Sharapova, Clijstera are playing no-one seems that interested.
Of course this tournament's top seed was someone most fans in this country anyway have never heard of at 86 in the world (Barthel from Germany) so hardly a household name not even probably in her own house.
That said Watson's in the semis (doesn't even warrant a mention on the BBC sports pages) and could hopefully go on to win the title.
