Tarver calls out Calzaghe!

Tarver says "I was the only one that could beat him, that’s why he avoided me, he got dropped by Roy (Jones) and (Bernard) Hopkins, I would’ve knocked out feather punching Joe Calzaghe. He couldn’t beat me period and I hate I didn’t get a chance to prove it".

Calzaghe responded by saying "The truth is I was fighting the winner of you and Bernard Hopkins and you lost! For the record, I would have kicked your ass!".

It's not quite true that Calzaghe was fighting the winner of Hopkins-Tarver because HBO offered Team Calzaghe a 3-fight-deal starting with Manfredo. The deal was that Calzaghe would take the 3rd fight over in the States so this idea that Calzaghe voluntarily took on Hopkins over in America is nonsense.

But who would've won had they met? I got Calzaghe by UD.




So folks, who would've won between Tarver and Calzaghe?

Like he did to the feather punching Dawson?

If Hopkins could out work him, I dont give him much chance against Calzaghe around the same time.

Calzaghe would have won by a pretty wide UD. Tarver is a mouthy git. Calling out a guy that's been retired for nearly 3 years is brave!!
