Makes me laugh though. When Pardew was appointed Newcastle manager the press were saying what a ridiculous appointment it was. Now they want him to be England manager. Wish they'd make their minds up.

I'm terrified about what will happen is Arry leaves. Modric will go for sure, and would expect VdV and maybe Bale to follow, with Adebayor even less likely to sign.

Hopefully his heart problems rule him out.....

Hmm. The England job has got to be less stressful than full time club management. How hard can it be? Getting paid to watch loads of PL matches, picking a squad and playign a match from time to time. Sounds ideal for someone looking to slow things down but stay in the game.

It probably doesn't help him travelling up from Bournemouth every day.

I think an English manager needs to be someone with a lot of experience in the English domestic game. Pardew is still young and learning. Roy Hodgson could be another option. He's got international management experience as well.

Good point about it would suit Arry especially in his condition.
Arry is the best English candidate to other options

Pardew will be tested in his next three games, Utd, City and Chelsea.
Let's see how he handles that before anything else

Raises a good point about how many Man Utd players would get in the City team and admits Ballotelli is a better player than him but with the same attitude.

I think the team Luke has posted would probably be accurate. The debates would be Richards/Smalling/Jones/Rafael for RB and De Jong/Fletcher probably ( for me Fletcher is better) I would say De Gea and Hart is quite close IMO, with Hart edging it...

I don't really get it it. It's named after Ashley's company, so it's not like someone is giving him loads of cash for the rights? Assuming he just wants to get his brand more coverage etc. But then Sports Direct's gross profit was up 12% to £131m this year. Does it need it?
