Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu
Gloucester centre Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu has received a six-month suspended ban following his Twitter rant against referee Nigel Owens.
The 30-year-old Samoan accused Owens of bias and racism after Samoa's defeat by world champions South Africa.
Fuimaono-Sapolu's ban was suspended for two years, pending three conditions.
He must apologise to Owens and retract his criticism, complete at least 100 hours' rugby community work in Samoa, and pass a recognised referee's course.

6 months . Gutted for Glaws, but can't say it wasn't deserved.

SUSPENDED ban ER.
He'll be available to play if;
1)He issues a full and frank public apology to Nigel Owens
2) He does over 100 hours community work developing rugby in Samoa
3) He completes a referees course within three months.
Do all that within the next two years and he will be free to play. A fair and just decision

Knowing Eli, I can't see him doing any of that.

I think the enforced completion of a referee course is an excellent idea.
I've no idea whether he will do any of the above things though. He seems pretty defiant.

Well if he doesn't he's a tw@t. He's spoken a lot about how Samoa get a raw deal. Going and spending some of his personal time working with the IRB to improve the situation isn't going to pain him too much?
An apology should be a given and as for the refereeing course- thats small beer.

what great punishment. Community work and learning the role of the ref and rules better.

It seems like a random list of things at first, but if you think about it it all makes sense. He should really do them. Referee's courses don't take long, as Notch says an apology should be a given and 100 hrs rugby community service isn't much to ask, and it shouldn't be something EFS has a problem with doing.
