The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub

Post by Kiwireddevil on Fri 21 Oct 2011, 3:06 pm

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the team photos of the World Cup finalists. Or the action shots (put up especially for Cari) of McCaw, Kahui and Corey Jane.

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Ale cuppa coffee mug guinness cider RedWine Bubbly Wales

Good afternoon All Smile

Didn't see the match this morning, but it looks like it was just as well. Shame we lost by such a small margin again, but it sounds like Oz were the better side on the day.

My interview went very well this morning and I was offered the job on the spot, so I've picked this one cause it's just better for me I think Smile

No Rava it's in the same building but just more suited to me I think, it's close to what I do now and I'll actually be liaising with people I've met through work before. It's also a more casual/comfortable sort of environment to work in Smile

Here's a good factoid from Michael Corcoran on twitter; if Stephen Donald comes off the bench on Sunday, he will be the first player to make his competition debut in the Final.

Massively so, Stag. Massively so.

Rhys Priestland has been the best in the competition and hasn't featured since the quarters. I wish we had seen more of Berrick Barnes at 10 than Cooper.

Agree with you Glas I think he never got a fair bite at the apple for Wales.

Priestland and Morne Steyn for best flyhalf - can't decide which.

Apart from that most #10s floundered.

Thats a bit rash.

I agree that Hook AND jones havent lived up to their billing but to be fair with Priestland fitting the bill so neatly they have had such little active gametime until his injury that they have effectively hardly played any real rugby in the last three months.

Staggy - nothing worse for the players having ball trouble. Once your balls start playing up, you can't concentrate on the game.
