The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the team photos of the World Cup finalists. Or the action shots (put up especially for Cari) of McCaw, Kahui and Corey Jane.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Good afternoon All
Didn't see the match this morning, but it looks like it was just as well. Shame we lost by such a small margin again, but it sounds like Oz were the better side on the day.
My interview went very well this morning and I was offered the job on the spot, so I've picked this one cause it's just better for me I think

Now where did I put those emoticons for fingers crossed, touching wood, lucky rabbit's foot*, ...
*That one's always bugged me. Clearly if you've got the rabbit's foot he wasn't very lucky.
PS,
Well done Cari!

Anyway, thanks lads
Kiwi - I'm still backing a Kiwis win as I did before the tournament started. They better not let me down, cause I've done well on my SG picks!

No Rava it's in the same building but just more suited to me I think, it's close to what I do now and I'll actually be liaising with people I've met through work before. It's also a more casual/comfortable sort of environment to work in

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Staggy - yeah, I'm lucky to get redeployment at all, nevermind pick of two posts. I'm seeing my colleagues who took redundancy leaving over the next couple of weeks - one had her last day today

Staggy - speaking of totty, I noticed Wally hasn't been picked for Munster's European team? Understandable, but do you think he'll ever play for them again?

Cari - I hope so, I reckon he'll play a bit of Pro12 and may play if we make knockouts.

Me too. Have you any idea how his recovery is coming along? Seen him hobbling about in Limerick?

I have actually. The injury doesn't seem that bad. Didn't look to massively affect his gait.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
All these times you bump into him, and I haven't had so much as a picture sent to me on my mobile....

Here's a good factoid from Michael Corcoran on twitter; if Stephen Donald comes off the bench on Sunday, he will be the first player to make his competition debut in the Final.

Anyone else think flyhalves across the board have been disappointing.

We should have taken Biggar instead of Hook.

Massively so, Stag. Massively so.
Rhys Priestland has been the best in the competition and hasn't featured since the quarters. I wish we had seen more of Berrick Barnes at 10 than Cooper.

Agree with you Glas I think he never got a fair bite at the apple for Wales.
Priestland and Morne Steyn for best flyhalf - can't decide which.
Apart from that most #10s floundered.

I agree that Hook AND jones havent lived up to their billing but to be fair with Priestland fitting the bill so neatly they have had such little active gametime until his injury that they have effectively hardly played any real rugby in the last three months.

Staggy - nothing worse for the players having ball trouble. Once your balls start playing up, you can't concentrate on the game.
Thanks Harrow and Puma
Maesteg - I think Glas was being flippant. Welcome to the pub by the way.

Yeah, it's gone crazy Kiwi. The world at large. The whole system is bad for the vast majority of people, even in developed countries.
I'm not sure what its going to take to effect change now. I'm not sure if its possible.
