"WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Raw Diva Maryse as of today, October 28, 2011. WWE wishes Maryse the best in all of her future endeavors."

The fact that Kelly Kelly is still around and the likes of Melina, Maryse, and Gail Kim have had to seek employment elsewhere shows what the WWE looks for in their diva's isn't in-ring ability.

I wouldn't say I'm a cynic, I see potential in almost everything I just hate moronic decisions that insults the fans intelligence, but then again if some of those fans eat it up who could blame writers for playing up the dumb

The only thing I've been negative about lately is not giving Roode the belt clean at BFG and Del Rio as champ, the last vote had about 60 votes and not one poxy poster thought he was worthy of a vote

It's all very well people saying 'oh he'd be my second choice' when the fact is he is in his first year as a main event player, should be the fresh face we've all wanted but still isn't a first pick for absolutely anyone on here, that is the fact of it and the vote was there to prove it

I forgot I was negative towarda Macauly Slater but he's so insignificant that doesn't count

Listen I'm no going to get into a bitch with you, I've got no recollection of anything you've ever said on here other than this thread where you said Maryse is good in the ring which is extremely debatable and good on the mic which unless you're fluent in French is a strange statement to make, so I've got nothing else on you, nothing you've ever said hhas caught my attention, I'll be sure to keep an eye out tho

From a personal standpoint I liked her. She had charisma which is not something you could say for 90% of the Diva's roster. Solid in the ring & decent to look at, what more do you want?

I reckon that apart from Gabriels 450, Maryse's French Kiss is the move I'd like to take most.

I think she had really good heel mannerisms but I totally agree with gaffer. When people are using Maryse, Gail and Melina as examples of how good womens' wrestling used to be, it's laughable. I'd even go as far as to say that it's laughable when Trish's name is brought up.

All four of those only got their jobs because they looked like models and/or porn stars. Womens' wrestling in WWE hasn't been about wrestling ability or entertaining matches for at least 15 years - Sable was the blueprint back in the 90s, both in what to look like and who to sleep with.

In defence of Trish, when she started she was shocking but she was a fantastic listener and improved immensely over her time in WWE, same could be said for Michelle McCool.

Completely true and I don't want to seem like I'm taking any credit away from them because they did work hard to improve. But I think they could have easily never worked hard and never improved and had exactly the same level of push.

They all got their jobs sure for their look over their actual skills but the same could be said for the Miz, he was greener than a seasick lettuce when he started but he put the hours in. I don't think it's fair to criticise the likes of Trish (who I was never the biggest fan of, much preferred Lita) when she did put in the hours to learn the trade even if it was on the job.

Personally I'd just have a handful doing back stage interviews & being managers

Would agree with that, same could also be said of Lita & Micky James. Gail Kim was slightly different as she could already wrestle (watch her matches v Awsome Kong from TNA).

But at the moment the divas division is woeful (Beth apart), some have potential, but most are hired because of there looks.

Diva's are needed, but not in a wrestling context. Think about Miss Elizabeth's role in the Mega Powers fall out. Then you had Sensational Sherri for DiBiase and Michaels

They should be used as valets or managers. Not as wrestlers.

In fact a good Diva with charisma and ability on the mic would help out the likes of JoMo. Think of him being the cocky heel again (in Shawn Michaels role), with a diva that could talk. Another example is Vicki G. Although not classed as a Diva, I believe the association she has had with Ziggler has helped him a lot.

I've said all along, I'd use Diva's but only in non wrestling scenario's, let them Wrestle at house shows and darks but for the TV shows I'd use them as managers/valets and girlfriends to enhance storylines for the male talent
